When Pakistanis are asked about their country, they often mention Malala Yousufzai, who was the youngest person ever to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. While she is known for her advocacy for education and women's rights, some people wonder if she would be as famous if she had not been shot by a Taliban gunman.
This suggests that Malala's gender played a role in her fame, as women are often viewed more sympathetically. Additionally, if a man had been shot, he might not have received the same level of attention. Due to this, I argues that the one bullet that struck Malala was a turning point in her life, leading her to become a global figure and receive a degree from Oxford University. If she had not been shot, she would likely be working a regular job in Pakistan without public recognition. Hence, I expresses sympathy for the gunman, as he could not have predicted the impact that his actions would have on Malala's life and global reputation.

You are a child, so I will try to be more gentle with you. I can only assume that you are parrotting the views of adults and u have not actually thought clearly and objectively about this issue using your own brain power. If u do actually have a brain u can use to think for yourself, then I hope u will seriously consider what I am telling you, since my perspective is a global one, not steeped in your narrow-minded male dominated culture. I cannot find any of the 'deep insights' u advertised in your story description. I do see very shallow and narrow-minded thinking, even in your title in which u suggest it is either or only 'luck' or 'fate' which has made Malala in international 'hero'. Both are wrong. Obviously, she would not be an internationally known survivor and would not have earned the Nobel prize if she had not been shot, and she would not have been shot if she were not a girl. Also, she was specifically targeted for death because she was already speaking out for girls to be able to receive an education. So before she was ever shot she was already a publicly recognized leader and advocate for girls/women in Pakistan. This is why they targeted her for death. So, NO, she would not have ended up 'working a regular job without any public recognition', as you claim. And why u would 'sympathize' with her assassin, a cowardly and ignorant Taliban lackey who shot her in the head is beyond my ability to understand, and I find it shocking and horrifying that u would say such a thing in public, much less even think it.

Malala first became known as a victim of an assassination attempt by ignorant thugs who cannot allow any woman (or girl) to acquire knowledge, because it threatens their ego and power. Most of the world considers a culture which denies girls an education to be backward and ignorant. The world was horrified that these ignorant men would try to murder an innocent girl in order to prevent girls from learning and receiving an education. Malala survived by what many believe to be a miracle. Her survival alone, after being targeted for assassination and shot in the head, is what first made her famous. Then, what made her even more famous and beloved by the world, is that she did not allow the would-be murderers to silence her. They intended to shut her up permanently. Instead she survived and did not hide in fear to ever speak up again, but rather became even more vocal in advocating for girls to receive an education. She did not allow the violent thugs who tried to silence her forever to 'win', to make her terrified, to make her fear them so much she would stay silent. This is the reason why she won the Nobel Prize. Because of her courage. Her willingness to overcome her fears and speak out for all girls to have the same right to life, freedom, and education as boys. This is why she is an international 'hero' for girls and women around the world who are denied the basic human rights given to men/boys.

Firstly, I understand the diversity and depth of this topic. However, I just shared an opinion of mine not some uncle or aunties view that was brought up in their political discussion. Neither do I intend to have a misogynistic mindset. It was just I view and I do not oppose the work of Malala. She has done great for Pakistan and for women's rights. It is just that her fame is behind one single bullet.

I understand the fury of people after reading this so true. Many adults reading this should also have a broad perspective and not be conservative.
