The horrible encounter
Her heart was racing ,she was running for her life she looked behind her to see the hideous monsters still following her they looked like cenetours with long straight ears and swishing tails
Maria woke up with beads of sweat on her forehead she was panting as if she had ran hundreds of miles but she was happy because it was just a dream she went downstairs for a glass of milk as she was about to return to her room when she heard something scratch the kitchen door as she opened the door she felt a sudden force pull her before she realized what was happening she was being injected when she woke up she felt a sudden pain gush through her , her hands and legs tied to a pole she had been kidnapped but by who ?
she was struggling to break free then the light was turned on at that point she noticed that she was in a big room with other captives which some of them she knew and some them she didn't she recognized her friend Merida, Matt the milk man and josh the school bully they were also tied to poles then the door opened and some men with guns came in heavily loaded they came with some food and plates they serve stale bread and runny eggs then a man who was clearly the leader said "this is the best you will get" then he spat and walked out , Maria swallowed the stale bread with a dry throat she couldn't eat the runny egg the same was served every single awful day after a week all of them smelled from lack of bathing and proper hygiene, Maria was very tired one night after the gunmen were drunk she found a piece of glass close enough to her reach she struggled and reached for it she cut herself free with the glass the help of the glass then she signalled to Merida and passed it to her she also cut herself free they checked to make sure the gun men were asleep they finally slipped outside they ran to the police station and narrated the whole story to the police they led them to the hideout the police freed the captives and arrested the gunmen they later found out that the gunmen where ritualists and they wanted to take their captives souls because of their long life span Maria was relieved to have escape
the police drove them home her parents were happy to see her and they called back the search party that were sent looking for her from that day on Maria never went downstairs in the night
