The Shore in the City
Born 2000, M, from KARAK, KPK, PakistanAs a child, Ava loved to spend time at the beach. She loved the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, the feel of the sand between her toes, and the salty smell of the ocean. But when her family moved to the city, Ava thought she would never be able to experience the joy of the beach again.
That was until one day, when she stumbled upon a small patch of sand and water in the heart of the city. It wasn't the same as the wide expanse of the beach, but it was a shore nonetheless.
Ava was thrilled and quickly made this little piece of the shore her own. She would come here every day after school, take off her shoes, and dip her feet in the water. She would watch the boats sail by and imagine herself on one of them, exploring the vast ocean.
As time went on, Ava noticed that more and more people were discovering this hidden gem. The city had recognized the value of having a small beach-like area and had started to invest in its upkeep.
The shore in the city became a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Families would come to have picnics, children would build sandcastles, and couples would enjoy romantic walks along the water. It was a place for everyone to come and enjoy a little piece of the beach life in the middle of the city.
For Ava, this little shore had become a sanctuary. It was a reminder of the beauty that could be found in unexpected places. And as she watched the sunset over the water, she felt grateful to have this little slice of paradise in the midst of the bustling city.
Years later, Ava returned to the city with her own family. She brought them to the shore in the city and watched as her children played in the sand and water, just as she had done all those years ago.
The shore in the city had become a symbol of hope, a place where people could come together and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. And as long as it was there, Ava knew that no matter where life took her, she would always have a little piece of home in the heart of the city.
