You Who Came to the Graveyard
Adult, F, from Mianwali, PakistanIt was December. The weather was foggy. Grey clouds covered the sky. The air was icy. Calvin visited his father's grave. Cemetery was full of people. They came to visit their deceased relatives. A gorgeous woman drew Calvin's attention. She wore an exquisite black dress. There was a beautiful hat on her head. A name, "Charlotte," was written on it. She was walking towards a grave. Perhaps, just like others, she was there to visit the grave of a near and dear one.
She accidentally bumped into Calvin and dropped the red rose that she was holding.
Calvin picked up the red rose.
He said, "Lady, you dropped this."
Without paying heed, she continued to walk.
Then he followed her.
She stopped at a grave and suddenly vanished in the haze.
When Calvin reached there, he found the hat on the grave alongside a bouquet of rotten roses. Calvin discovered that the rose, he held, had rotten.
He threw it.
He read the epitaph.
The name Charlotte was written on it.
