What happened when Mahesh found an identical to his love in a parallel universe?

Mahesh was happy at his great invention, after working day and night for years, his team, at last, got successful in developing technology to teleport to a parallel universe. He was a leading physicist of his time. When it came to who went to the parallel universe for the first time, no one was ready to jump into a parallel universe for they did not know what they would face there and whether they would return from there or not. Mahesh offered himself to go to a parallel universe. He had full confidence in himself and the technology developed by his team.


On the day to teleport to the parallel universe came, he woke up early morning and offer prayer to God Shiv in a temple. Before entering his laboratory, he put a photograph of his beloved Mita in his pocket. He said to himself, "How much she would be happy if she were here. I would take her with me on the journey to a parallel universe."

The preparation for teleportation took about an hour. He entered the system and the system was activated after some minutes of the activation, he was in a street of a parallel universal. He looked around the street and read the signboard of a shop and found that it was street number 10. With a few slight changes, it was almost similar to street number 10 of his universe. After wandering for about an hour in the streets of the town he found that the parallel universe was almost similar to his universe. Now he was feeling hungry. He decided to take his lunch in his favorite restaurant. He took a taxi and reached the restaurant. When he opened the glass door of the restaurant, his eyes fell on a face and he got shocked. It took him some seconds to believe in his eyes. It was his love, Mita. He murmured, "How is it possible? " He went to her. She was eating her favorite pizza. He said, "Mita." Hearing this, the lady raised her head and got shocked for some moments. She somehow control herself and said politely, "I am not Mita. I am Neena." and she kept on looking at him. She was looking at him as if she knew him. He said, "Sorry, I took you for my girlfriend Mita. "

Neena smiled and pointed at the chair and said, "Please have a seat. "
Mahesh said, "Thank you. " and sat on the chair. She was curious about him and looking at him with affection.
Mahesh said, "I am Mahesh, a physicist by profession."

She looked at him and said, "I like physics."


Mahesh said, "If you don't mind, may I ask you a question?"

Neena nodded. Mahesh continued, "Do you have any identical twin sisters?"


She got a chance to begin a conversation. She replied politely with a smile on her face, "No I don't have any twin sisters. But why are you asking so?"
He said, "Because my girlfriend Mita looks exactly alike to you. As if you and she were identical twins. One can not tell one from another."
She said with surprise, "Really!"
Mahesh said, "Really she looks exactly like you and I took you for her."
Neena said, "That's interesting. Someone looks like me." she looked into his eyes and said, "Tell me something about you and your friend, if you don't mind."
Mahesh said, "It's my pleasure."

Just then a waiter came and asked him for an order. Mahesh got busy with giving an order for lunch. Meantime a thought came into her mind and she got blushed.
After giving orders, Mahesh began his story. He said, "Her name is Mita. I met her for the first time when I was in college. I fell in her love at first sight and soon proposed to her and she accept my proposal. Those were our golden days. I wanted to be a physicist and was studying hard. She was pursuing her graduation. After graduation, she joined the defense services and I got a research scholarship at a famous institute and began my research work. We used to meet whenever we got time and spent time together. Soon we decided to get married. We were happy and dreaming about the future. But unfortunately, the war began and Mita had to go to the border to fight against the enemy. She used to talk to me on the phone whenever she got the chance." Saying so, Mahesh got silent and emotional. Neena asked with curiosity, "And what happened next?"



Mahesh said, "One day, I got the news that Mita had gone missing from an army camp. All the attempts to find her went in vain. Ten years have passed and I am still in search of her."


Tears came to his eyes and somehow he managed to say, "I don't know where she is and I even don't know whether she is alive or not." Saying so, Mahesh got silent.
Neena said with sympathy, "I will pray for her."

Just then, the waiter came and began to serve him lunch. Neena was amazed at something. Here Mahesh intentionally did not tell her about his coming from another universe.
Mahesh asked, "Do you like ice cream? " and offered her a cup of ice cream. Neena got surprised and said, "Yes, please. I like it very much."
"What a coincidence. Mita too like the ice cream very much," Mahesh said to her.

While eating ice cream, Neena began to think about Mahesh. She began to like him.
Mahesh asked her, "Where do you live?"

She gave him a short answer, "Street number 25. " she wanted to tell him all about herself but she kept from doing so.
She asked him, "And where do you live?"
Mahesh replied, "Ramnagar suburban area."
Mahesh did not want to reveal before her that he was coming from the Ramnagar of another universe.
Neena thought that it is not possible that he lives in Ramnagar. He is certainly telling a lie. But she remained silent.

After lunch, Mahesh and Neena came out of the restaurant. She wanted to know all about Mahesh. She had some doubts about him but she remained silent and began to think something. All of a sudden, she said to Mahesh, "The lunch break is over. It is time to go back to the office. She pointed to a building of a bank across the road. He looked there and said, "So you work here at the bank." she replied, "Yes." she proceeded to cross the street. Crossing the street, she turned back and waved her hand to him and then entered the bank.

Now Mahesh decided to return from this parallel universe to his universe. As soon as he turned and moved toward the Ramnagar, Neena came out of the bank and began to chase him. After walking for about half an hour, Mahesh entered a narrow lane. Neena with great curiosity entered this narrow street. At that time no one was in the street. Returning home after chasing Mahesh, Neena was feeling alone. She was yearning for someone. Her heart is still beating for someone who was once her love. Sipping a fine wine, she lost in her sweet memories of the moments when she was with her love. The name of her love was Rohit. Those days Rohit and Neena were planning for getting married but unfortunately, Rohit died in a car accident. With a great coincidence, Mahesh was exactly alike Rohit. Today, her meeting with Mahesh brought a storm in her calm and alone life. She began to feel an attraction toward Mahesh.
After thinking for hours, she reached a decision and immediately rushed to her laboratory.

After returning from the parallel universe, Mahesh once again began to try to find out Mita's whereabouts.


After a few days, one morning when he was taking his breakfast, someone knocked at the door. When he opened the door, he found his beloved Mita at the door. He got so surprised that he could not say anything for a while. Mita moved ahead and embraced him. She was crying with joy. She said to Mahesh, "It was our love who kept me alive in the war field and then in the prison." Mahesh was so happy. She told him later in detail how she was captured in the war field and how brutish was the behavior of the enemy in the prison. She told him many stories of the war fields. Mahesh had no reason for doubting her being Mita. She began to live with him. One day she said to Mahesh, "I have no intention to continue my services in the army. The army too will not allow me to continue my services." Mahesh, too, did not want her to continue her services for he did not want to lose her again.

Days were passing. Mita's birthday was coming. Mahesh noticed that she was indifferent to her coming birthday. It was as if she didn't know of her birthday.

On the evening of her birthday, Mahesh gave her a surprise gift. He said to her, "I think you forget your birthday." she got perplexed for some moments and then she said, "Oh, birthday! Sorry, I forget about my birthday." she paused for a little while, and then she said to him looking into his eyes, "actually the war changed many things in my life. Long imprisonment as a war prisoner left many scars on my soul."
Saying so moved close to him and put her head on his chest. He took her in his arms.
Maheah said to her, "Try to come out of the trauma of those days. A new and good life is awaiting you."

She said nothing to him. They remained silent for a while in each other's arms.

Mahesh said to her, "Open your gift."

She opened the gift curiously and found a diamond ring. She looked at him curiously. He took the ring from her and said, "Do you like to be mine forever?" Mita got surprised. Mahesh said, "Will you marry me?"
Hearing this she embarrassed him and kissed him and then she whispered in his ear, "Yes, of course, I want to be with you forever."

Mita was very happy about this, she was going to get him again. They began preparing for the marriage ceremony.

After some days, one evening when Mahesh was working in his lab, he got a phone call from the army headquarters. An army officer was on the phone saying, "Do you know Captain Mita?"
He replied, "Yes, she is my wife-to-be."
The army officer on the phone said to him, "Well, we have good news for you. Captain Mita had been released from prison and she handed it over to us yesterday. Soon she will be with you. Please hold for some moments, she wants to talk to you."
Hearing this Mahesh got shocked. His hands were trembling and one and only one question came into his mind, "whom he was living with if Mita was released from the enemy's prison yesterday?"

"Hello, Mahesh, I am Mita," Mita was on the phone. She was crying with joy. Mahesh was somehow trying to say something but there was nothing in his mind to say.
Mita said, "I am coming soon." He replied, "I am waiting for you."

After this phone call, Mahesh plunged into thoughts. Mita wanted to give Mahesh a surprise. So she soon taking permission from headquarters, took flight to reach Mahesh.

In the meantime, Mahesh, after thinking for hours concluded that the Mita whom he was living with was someone else. She might be Neena whom he had met during his visit to a parallel universe Somehow she might manage to reach this universe. That's why she didn't know Mita's birthday. He got feared and avoided going home for hours but at last, he decided to go home and find out who was she.


When Mahesh reached home, he found her cooking pasta. He knew very well that Mita did not like pasta. He controlled his emotion and said, "So you are cooking pasta!"
"yep! I like it,", she replied.
Mahesh asked her, "When did you begin to like pasta? As far as I know, you don't like pasta." His eyes were fixed on her face. Her face turned pale for some moments. She controlled herself and replied, "No, it is not so. I like it."

Mahesh said, "You have changed so much after the war. Have not you? "
She said, "Yes. Life was so hard in the war."

Mahesh said, "So hard that you forgot your birthday." hearing this she got a little nervous. Mahesh gave her a sharp look.

All of a sudden, Mahesh came to the point, "Actually you are not Mita. You are someone else."
Mita said, "I am Mita, your Mita. Stop joking."

Mahesh said, "I am serious. You are not Mita. Tell me who are you?"
Mita's heart was throbbing very fast. And all of a sudden she lost her temper and cried, "Yes, I am not Mita. I am Neeta."
Hearing this Mahesh shouted with anger, "So you are Neena. How did you reach here?"

Neena retorted, "As you reached my universe. I have the technology to teleport to parallel universes."

Mahesh said, "That's great but why did you pretend to be Mita? Why did you play such a game with me?"
"Because I love you. I want to get you," Neena replied being emotional.
Mahesh shouted with anger, "What rubbish woman you are! I don't like you. I love my Mita and she is coming. You nonsense woman! get out of my life. Go to your universe."

Neena smiled erotically and said, "Yes, I will go but not alone. You will go with me."
Saying so Neena took out a revolver from her pocket and aimed it at him.
Mahesh was not ready for a situation like this. Neena pointed her recover at his knee and shouted with anger, "Come with me, and don't try to be smart, otherwise, I will shoot your knees."
Mahesh was trembling with anger and fear. He had no other option other than to go with her. Neena came behind him and prodded him with her revolver and said, "Move forward silently with me." They began to go out of the house.

As soon as they crossed the door and came out of the house, someone kicked the revolver and then within a millisecond kicked Neena's face. The kicks were so strong that the revolver flew up some feet and fell somewhere and Neena was thrown some feet away. Mahesh turned and saw. Mita, the real Meta was before him.
Mita rushed to Neena who was now crawling toward the revolver. Mita reached there and grabbed Neena by the hair and gave her two solid punches which were sufficient to stun Neena. Mita took the revolver in her hands.
Mita said to Mahesh, "I want to give you a surprise so I decided to come here without telling you. When I reached here at the door, I heard your conversation with this woman, and when I looked through the window I saw her pointing the revolver at you. I am shocked to see that she looks like me. As if she were my twin. Who is she?"


Mahesh said, "She came from a parallel universe. I will tell you her story sometime later. Fortunately, you reached here at the eleventh hour, otherwise, she was taking me to another parallel universe. It would be impossible for me to return."
Mita pointed at Neena and said, "What do to this girl?"
He thought for a little while and then said, "She loves me and can do anything. If we let her go, she will certainly come again to disturb us. We should kill her.

Mita said, "Murder is a crime. We have no right to kill her."
Mahesh argued, "The laws of our universe don't apply to people from another universe."
Mita said, "But the law would not think so. You will certainly get punishment if you get caught after killing her." During this conversation, they were unaware of a danger that was creeping toward Mita.

All of a sudden, Meeta got kicked. It was Neena who after gaining consciousness once again attacked Mita. The next moment, both Mita and Neena fell on each other. Neena began to try to snatch the revolver from Mita.


During this struggle, the trigger of the revolver got pulled and a bullet pierced Neena's chest and she fell on the floor. She writhed for a while and then died.

Mahesh took a breath of relief and said to Mita, "As I had already said to you she can do anything."
Mita said, "What to do with the dead body? "

Mahesh said, "I will teleport the dead body to where it came from."
He took the dead body surreptitiously to his laboratory and then around midnight he teleported it to the parallel universe. The next day, Mahesh and Mita were planning for their honeymoon in a parallel universe.
