Stomach Bug
U, from Merced/Ca, United States"My stomach is hurting, although it has been hurting for a week now". Beth thought. Her mom thinks her stomach hurts because she sleeps with her mouth open too much and too much dust gets in or something. But today the pain was different, instead of feeling like her stomach was burning inside, it felt more like biting tiny biting. Then during history class it got worse, like something inside Beth's stomach was eating its way out. Beth got out of her seat and ran straight to the girls restroom and went to the nearest stall. Then she threw up, but instead of vomit she saw in the toilet when she looked inside it was something else. Hundreds of tiny black spiders crawling around the toilet bowl. Beth was shocked and disgusted, but something else was wrong. Beth could feel something stuck in her throat. She ran over to the mirror above the sink and opened her mouth. At first she saw nothing, everything was normal. Until eight red eyes appeared from the shadowing of her mouth. Then a long, black, curved leg came out of her mouth, then seven more sprouted. They grasped at her checks and out came a black widow, the mother of the toilet spiders. As the black widow crawled from Beth's mouth to her feet, Beth was staring in the mirror, mouth still open. Then she collapsed. All that pain she was feeling was the widow spider laying her eggs in Beth's stomach, and the biting was the baby's way of saying "Out". And the stuff in Beth's throat was the widow mama's poison spreading throughout Beth's bod, and Beth's mouth remains open.

07/19/2023Wow. That was a great short horror story. especially for someone so young. Well done. Note that there is no age 'rating'. Only an age designation which mostly refers to the age of the person who wrote the story, rather than the age of the readers it is intended for.
