The Smile In The Shadows(Payton Darby) It's always there/ it has been ever since we've moved here. But Susie was still curious on how and why there was a smile of some sort hidden in the darkness of her basement. Susie would talk to the smile almost everyday, but the smile never spoke back. Susie would tell the smile stories and stuff she did and lots of stuff about herself. But one day something changed, the smile... talked. "Susie". It said very slowly, like it was its first time talking. Susie hesitated to say something back but then the smile said her name louder "SUSIE"! Then out of the shadows a hand appeared. The skin was rough and gray but unknowingly Susie reached out and touched it. The hand went still, but Susie was more focused on the smile. Then the hand starts pulling Susie more and more closer to it, Susie struggles to escape its grip. It pulls harder and harder until five more arms and hands appear from the dark shadows.They grad onto Susie with a tight grip and lifts her up towards the smile. But the smile changes, now it was open showing rows and rows of sharp, pointy teeth. Susie struggles to get free, but soon it was all over. Susie had made it free and back to the light where she was, and the smile got its fair share. But at least Susie was safe, well... half of her All that was left was her waist down and a pool of her blood.
