I glance behind. They’re gaining on me. They are trying to rob the stagecoach. Or I’m an FBI agent chasing a serial killer, or I’m that serial killer in a race for my life.
I’m flying around the track at the Indianapolis 500. Just five more times and I will achieve the ultimate prize. my racecar spins out of control. I’m into the wall. The others go flying by. My dreams vanished.
Actually, I’m mowing the yard, dodging around rose bushes, trees and flower beds. But my mind is somewhere else. After I finish the lawn, I will go back to the wonderful world of fiction. And by the time for supper, I might even catch this serial killer. If I can just navigate around the pond without falling in.
