The Room ~ Written by, Regan Upton

How is it possible to go from having a bright smile
To begging, banging on a door
No one around to hear me for miles
Locked in my head, everything hurts

Filled with so much regrets
So many things I wish I never said
So many secrets I wish I would've kept
Now I'm a burden
All I'm lost in the ocean
Water in my lungs, going down under
Falling into a deep slumber

Seeing pictures in my mind
Maybe they were right
Maybe I'm someone who's just mean to break and be left behind
But little do they know, I'm not going down without a fight
Now I fought the fight, lost the battle
My fate ends here, ending up fatal

Blood on my wounds
Locked in a room
I hear my voice but it isn't me
It's an illusion pretending to be
Pretending to be the real me
But not everything is always what it seems
Maybe I'll wake up and find out this is all just a dream
All I have to do is just let it all out and scream

I know I'm not alone
I refuse to believe you
Speaking lies
None of them are truths
I'm somebody's daughter
I'm somebody's sister
I'm somebody's lover
I won't be pulled away from this full blown twister

Left with an evil peterpan
Stuck in a not so great neverland
I'm on a cold hard floor, trembling hands
I now realize not everything goes to plan

Now I'm left here stranded
With nothing else but me, myself and I
I can't handle it
I can barely breathe
How am I supposed to survive
Dead flowers, dead trees
How could I have been so blind

Every cut
Every scar
Every mark
Every bruise
Every hour
Every minute
Every second
Every moment has lead to me, begging
but there's no escape
Now I'm stuck in my brain
Lost in my pain
All alone here, in The Room...
