The visitors

The visitors(sumit) This was a fine evening and the sun had already set. Pradeep was still playing in the backyard of his home. All of a sudden his eye caught something falling from the sky leaving a trail of white light behind. He shouted with joy, "Shooting star, a shooting star." just then his father called him, "Come in and do your homework "

Pradeep was a twelve-year-old boy studying in the sixth standard of a school. His father was an officer in the bank. Their home was situated on the outskirts of the city Rampur. There was a dense forest about half a kilometer away from their house.
The next morning when he reached the school, he found students and teachers talking about a strange flying object seen last evening in the city. He did not take part in these conversations for he is introverted and shy of talking to others.

The preparation for the school's annual day was going on. Students were excited about it and joining in the various programs. Pradeep was not interested in it. The class monitor asked him, "Would you like to take part in a drawing competition or any other program?"
"no," Pradeep gave a very short answer. He did not like to talk to the monitor. He was aloof to other students in the school.


In the evening he went to the backyard of the home to play. The backyard was his favorite place. He used to play here alone without any friends. He had no friends in the school or the colony where they lived. There was a big cabin in the backyard where they used to store junk and other useless stuff. Today Pradeep found the door of the cabin opened. He got curious and went in to see what was in the cabin. Nothing was worthy of his interest except an old computer, a broken-down robot dog, a broken television, and some broken furniture. He looked around and found nothing interesting. He got out of the cabin and began to play in the backyard.

In the night while having dinner, he heard the TV news that an undefined flying object crashed in the forest near the city.
Hearing this Pradeep got thrilled and curious.
His mother said, "The forest is not far from here."


His father said, "Nothing to fear, I don't believe in this news. There is nothing like UFOs and aliens. All these are gossips."

Pradeep said, "That was a shooting star. I saw it yesterday evening."

His father said, "It may be a shooting star. It may be a drone or a weather balloon."

His father paused for a little while and said, "Whatever it may be, we should not give much attention to this news."

Pradeep finished up his dinner. He is fond of reading books and he read a lot about UFOs and aliens in a book. He didn't know whether aliens and UFOs existed or not.
The next evening when he was playing in the backyard, he heard some strange noises coming from the cabin. He opened the door of the cabin and found no one in the cabin. He noticed that the robot was not there where it was the last time. It was beside the computer instead of leaning against the wall. There was a strange smell in the cabin. He looked at the cabin for any animal. The smell was coming from the cupboard lying in a corner. When he opened the cupboard, he got petrified with fear. Three strange faces were before him. They were looking at him with curiosity. They came out of the cupboard. Size about three feet, dark blue, big head, big eyes, long arms having five fingers. Pradeep took his heels from the cabin.
Unfortunately, his parents are not in the home. They are away to attend a marriage party. Pradeep ran into the home and closed the door. Upon reaching his room, he peeped out through a window and found one of the aliens at the door of the cabin. He closed the window and drew the curtain. His heart was beating very fast.

Pradeep took a sigh of relief when he heard the horn of his father's car. He didn't say anything to his parents. At night before going to sleep, he peeped out of the window at the cabin. He found the door closed and saw blue light coming out from the cracks of the door. He began to think about the blue light.

The next morning Pradeep saw police vans going toward the forest. His mother said, " Perhaps the police are in search of aliens."
He said to her, "What will the police do after catching the aliens?
" his mother replied, "I think the police would kill them."

Hearing this Pradeep got worried and said to his mother, "But police kill those who are criminals. These aliens are not criminals."
His mother said, "But they may harm the public."
Pradeep had sympathy for these aliens.
In the evening when Pradeep returned from school, he found that his father was ready to go somewhere. When he asked, his father told him that he was going to attend an urgent meeting and would return by the next evening. He took some snacks and went to his room. He did not go out to play. In the night, when he was going to sleep, he heard some strange voices outside. He got afraid and looked through the window and found those three aliens. The aliens were making some friendly gestures. One of them came forward and began to look at Pradeep. Pradeep felt himself hypnotized. Pradeep felt as if he was being instructed to open the door to let the aliens come in. He followed the instructions and opened the door of the house. He took the aliens in the room.

"Don't be afraid of us, we are here not to hurt you," one of the aliens communicated telepathically to Pradeep. Hearing this Pradeep felt relaxed.
Pardeep dared to ask, "Where are you coming from?"
That alien communicated to him, "We are coming from a planet hundreds of light years away from your Earth using very very advanced technology to cover this vast distance."


That alien communicated, "We were visiting your planet to study the life on here. But our spacecraft crashed in the forest near your home due to some technical problems. We have taken shelter in your home in the cabin."

Hearing this, Pradeep felt sorry for them.
That alien said, "We hope you will help us till the arrival of another spaceship."
Pradeep said, "Yes I will."

That alien said, "We know you will. You are a good earthling. We can scan your mind. You are kind and intelligent. Thank you for helping us."

In the morning, Pradeep's mother said to him, "School annual day is around the corner. Are you taking part in any program?"
Pradeep replied, "No, I am not."
Mother said, "Why?

He had no answer to this question. He is not interested in extracurricular activities and not doing well in his studies. His mother is worried about him. She said, "Why are you being so dull? You are doing well neither in your studies nor in extracurricular activities." she looked at him with anger and said, "I am worried about you."

Pradeep was unhappy hearing this. He loves his mother and does not want to make her angry or worried. On the way to school, he was thinking of taking part in a drawing competition but he was not sure whether he would draw something meaningful. At last, at the time of school prayer, he decided to take part in the drawing composition.

"Best of luck," wished the class monitor, when he gave his name for the drawing competition.
In the evening when he returned from school, he found the mother was still unhappy with him. He went to the backyard to play but he did not feel like playing. He went to a corner of the backyard sat there and began to think about his mother. Just then it took into his mind that he should go into the cabin and see those aliens.

The door was opened at the first knock.
They were happy to see him.
"why are you so unhappy today, " Pradeep perceived a telepathic message.
Pradeep replied, "Mother is unhappy with me."
One of the aliens asked telepathically "Why?"
Pradeep, " because I am not doing well in studies and extracurricular activities."
Another alien said, "How sad!"

Another one came forward and touched Pradeep with his long fingers and conveyed telepathically, "I can tell you why are you not doing well."
After a little while, that alien conveyed, "The cause is that you have a lack of confidence. You are introverted, shy, and to some extent lazy. You have to remove all these weaknesses in your character."
The alien paused for a little while and said to Pradeep, "Concentrate on what you are doing." their words were sounding in Pradeep mind.

That evening Pradeep decided to follow the advice. That night he began the preparation for the math test being given by the math teacher the day after tomorrow. As advised by his alien well wishes, he studied with dull confidence and concentration. The next evening he didn't go to the backyard to play. The next day, He wrote the test very well and was happy. His new approach gave results and he passed the test with good marks. He got motivated at his first success.
And the day for drawing composition came. He gave his best to it. He was excited and sure of his win.
The next day he told his mother about his math test and his taking part in drawing composition. His mother was happy with him. In the evening he went to the cabin to tell his new friends about his success.

"Carry on in the same spirit, " they remarked hearing him. They were happy with him.
"We have a good news. A spaceship is coming to rescue us." one of them communicated telepathically to Pradeep.
Pradeep was happy to hear this.

And the day of the annual function came. Almost all the students and their parents were present. Pradeep was with his mother. After various programs, the time for prize distribution came and soon Pradeep was called to offer first prize for drawings.

When Pradeep got home from school, the sun was about to set. He went to the cabin to see the aliens and show them the prize he got. They got happy when Pradeep told them about his getting first prize.

They communicated telepathically, "We are returning to our world tonight. "
Knowing this Pradeep got unhappy.

"Pradeep, come in and have tea and do your homework, " His father called him.

Alien communicated telepathically, "You must go otherwise your father will come."
"bye, bye, see you again," said Pradeep went home.

Pradeep completed his homework and had dinner with his mother and father. Instead of watching television, he went straight to his room.


It was about midnight and lying on the bed, Pradeep was looking at the sky through the window. All of a sudden he saw a bright blue light in the sky coming down. He jumped out of the bed and began to look out of the window. the object was now hovering above the home. He went to the backyard. Now the blue object was just about 50 meters above. Just then the door of the cabin opened and all of the three aliens came out. They communicate telepathically to Pradeep, "The spaceship has come to take us to our world. It is time to go. Before going we want to give you a gift. " saying so they looked at the cabin. The robot dog came out from the cabin and began to wag its tail before Pradeep.

"it will be with you always and will make you remember us." aliens communicated.
Pradeep gave them thanks for the gift.

They held one another's hands stood in a circle and began to look at the blue object. The next moment, a beam of blue light fell on them from the object and they began to float in the air toward the object. Within a few moments, they disappeared into the object and the object began to move up high in the sky and then disappeared into the deep of the sky within a little while.


The next morning his father saw the robot dog waging or tail in Pradeep's room. He and he asked Pradeep surprisingly, "Who repaired this robot dog and how? It was almost irreparable. "

Pradeep replied, " I found it in the cabin in working order. I think the aliens repaired it."
His father said, "You are an idiot. There is nothing like aliens."
When they were watching television while having breakfast, they heard the news of a UFO being seen on the outskirts of the city.
Hearing the news his father said, "The news channel has no other news except this rubbish news."

The robot dog was looking at them waging its tail.
