The Haunting Fall

The thunder roared, and the wind howled. The stormy night sent shivers down her spine. She was all alone on that deserted path. The sudden drop in temperature gave her goosebumps. She was sure about the existence of something malevolent there. Suddenly, she saw a man with a knife in his hand running towards her. He had an unsettling aura. His gaze was intense, and he had a pale complexion. He followed her . The girl ran as fast as she could. Unfortunately, she stumbled upon something and fell. Her hand was bruised. The eerie man came closer to her. She got up and ran again. The man followed her. She ran as fast as she could. While running,  she looked back to see how far she had come from that man but unfortunately, she fell from the mountaintop into the river. Eventually, she woke up and realised it was a nightmare, though there was a bruise on her hand.
