Nightmare on the Road(Aleena Nawaz) In the cold, foggy morning of autumn, Eddy, a reckless man, was driving his car. Due to rash driving, he hit an elderly woman. Instead of stopping his car, he ran away, leaving the dying woman on the ground.
Instead of recognising his own fault, he blamed the elderly woman for coming in front of his car.
The following night, when Eddy was sitting in his room, he suddenly recalled the sight of a dying elderly lady. Soon, strange occurrences began to happen around him. The once-ordinary sounds of his house seemed distorted. The eerie creaking of floorboards made his heart race. A sense of foreboding filled the air around him. In an instant, the temperature dropped to minus degrees, making it difficult for him to breathe. The bone-freezing wind formed goosebumps on his skin. He heard a creepy voice. He looked through the window and saw the same dying elderly lady lying on the ground, asking for help. His heartbeat sped up, and his eyes widened.
He abruptly closed the window.
When he turned around, he saw the elderly woman standing in the corner, staring at him. Hearing her grumble, Eddy trembled.
He ran straight to the police station, where he told the police about the whole incident and admitted his fault.
