There was a little commotion at the White House. “What’s going on?” asked the presidential aide.

“One of our destroyers in the China Sea has been sunk,” said the other presidential aide,

“Has the president been told?”

“Yes, but you know …” he shrugged.

“So what do we do.?”

“Where’s Jackson? He’ll know.”

This time there was panic in the White House. “Well, they’ve done it,” said the presidential aide.

“Taiwan?”

“Taiwan.”

“What do we do?”

“Where’s Jackson?”

This time the White House was grim. “I know,” said the President. “It’s unbelievable. I suppose we have to retaliate but I don’t know. Where’s Jackson?”

“Here’s your mai tai, Mr. Jackson.”

“Thank you, Sam.”

“May I ask you a question, sir?”

“Sure.”

“How did you find our little island? I don’t think it’s even on the map.”

Jackson smiled. “I have my sources.”

“And may I ask, why did you come here?”

“Good question. I suppose I was just tired.”

“I see. By the way, something big may be going on the world. We’ve lost all contact. It may be a catastrophe”

“Maybe. Something was bound to happen. Can you refresh my drink?”
