Indifference
Born 2007, F, from Florida, United StatesThere's this indifference I feel
I’m human
As humans, we’re indifferent
We don’t know how we feel truly
Only we do, cause we feel it
Only I know what goes on inside me
Only I know how I really feel
No one truly understands
Because they aren’t feeling the same thing
Eight-point-one billion
The number changes constantly
That’s only average
I am one person out of eight-point-one billion
I am one person
I am only me
I carry my own, true message
Indifference
It makes us human
It shows we are all different
So tell me
Do you know how I truly feel
Or do you still see a mask put on my face
Only that isn’t a mask
To everyone else
It’s a face I put on
I show me, but no one understands
You don’t really feel the actual trembling hand
Because underneath this mask
Inside me, is growing pain, strength, love, and a wrath
I see your mask
You have one
It’s not the one we wear at a masquerade
It’s not the one we wear when we’re sick
It’s not the one we wear because we choose to remain anonymous
We don’t have a choice
To many others, I am a girl
A girl who is a kind, sweet-hearted loving, person
Someone who hasn’t been thrown around
I’m truly anonymous to everyone
You don’t know who I really am
Hell, I don’t know either
I’m still growing
I'm not the all knowing
I'm only sixteen
Even the elders, and older
They are confused
They don't know what they are here for, or meant to do
We're indifferent
You don't truly understand
You don't truly know
You don't truly care
I don't truly understand
I don't truly know
I don't truly care
Because out of everyone
We are all lost
Trying to find ourselves and our purpose
Somewhere
