Issues, I've had many during my life. One issue that marks my memory was when my parents got divorced. I woke up every day in my bed, young, light blonde hair and sparkly blue eyes. Then, I went down to eat breakfast with my parents and siblings.
“How are you?” asked my mom.
“Good, I'm scared it’s the first day though,” I answered.
“You'll do amazing Andy.” said my dad, hugging me tightly.
When we got back from school, we would all talk about our day and how it went while laughing and smiling at each other. Back then, in 2016, I lived in Mexico City and was soon going to move into a new house. My brother, my sister, and I visited Monterrey with my mom for the first time after a couple of months.

First, we arrived at my grandparent's house. My siblings and I sat down at the table, and my mom and grandma were whispering at the far end of the dining room. Everyone sat down and started to eat, my mom looked over to my grandma and warmly smiled at her.
"I have an announcement, we're returning to Monterrey!" she exclaimed, a smile on her face. It was a fake smile, my mom had never smiled like that. My sister started screaming out of joy and my brother did too. This was odd since my house in Mexico City was almost finished and we were soon moving in. I did not know what she was on to with this, but I was happy we could move back so I agreed. My dad, would not move back with us. He was going to stay in Mexico City because of his job, or so, that was what my mom said. My dad updated us the next week that he would be visiting us in Monterrey every weekend and I somehow felt relief.

I woke up feeling happy. I was finally going back to ASFM with my friends. I would be able to continue my life. I put on my shoes and headed down to have breakfast, smiling the best I could. It felt so weird without my dad there, it felt empty.
“Andy, Christie, Diego, I have some news.” said my mom with her voice breaking. I looked over at my sister, her face pale white. My smile started fading. My mom broke it all down. My parents were getting divorced. I started crying, tears rolling down my face by the second my head flooded with thoughts. I couldn't take it anymore, I loved how united my family used to be but it seemed it would all change. I ran upstairs in a rage and slammed my bedroom door shut. Until now I'm still thinking and processing what happened. What could've gone so wrong? Now that I'm older, I understand better and slowly feel that our wounds are being healed.
