Fossil

Fossil(Luna) Some day, I fear, I will fossilise
Into all the pain I carry within
And I will find myself wondering
About the things I could've been.

My fossil will lay down, finally
And I will stay frozen for a while
Because there will be nowhere to go,
My sorrow will make me immobile.

Until time decides to end itself,
I will stay there, awake and alone.
I will have nothing ahead of me
So I shall remain on my own.

I hope I can see it one last time,
My childhood house, my old bed
I keep forgetting what it looked like,
And I fear I have nothing more left.

I will be captive of my memories
Because they can keep me alive
There is not much left of me, I think
I must hold onto them to survive.

So bring me back, just for now
Because I am alone once again
And I feel I’m losing myself and
Everything that made me who I am.

I can feel my time is coming soon
So keep me here, not for long though
But I must say goodbye first
Before I can finally go.
