The Lovers (Part 1)

She’s like a cool autumn breeze,
She can never seem to see her beauty,
But everyone else sees it
She’s oblivious to it

When she looks at me,
I can see it in her eyes
She feels at home, she feels safe
She wants a life of her own and she wants me to give it to her

But, she’s scared of that feeling,
So she tries to hide it
But she warms up like the summer sun,
She’s the summer sun, her love shines like the summer sun

She’s my life, she’s my past, present and future
She’s everything that means anything to me
She’s something a man would love to even be a thought on her mind
They’d be happy if she even considered them

If she knew what she meant to me,
She’d think it was a lie
She’s my everything
And one day I will work up the courage to tell her just what she means to me

How she is more expensive than a million dollars
Her smile can’t compare to anything
Not even the prettiest of the summer nights
And the coolest of the autumn breeze

She’s the reason I’m here today
If she knew that she would know just a fraction of how much I love her
One of these days, she’s going to be my wife
Even though in my eyes, we are already married

I want to make her see it
Because she is the fairest of maidens
She’s my princess in a castle, locked away, hidden behind the walls
And I want to break her out of that castle, and make her a home with the bricks

His eyes tell a story
A story full of his failures and desires for glory
But he trusts me enough, his heart opened up
He’s willing to try another chance at love

His eyes, they remind me of an island
His smile, it’s so much more beautiful than all the stars, moons and planets
His voice, I could loop it for hours and hours like a good song in a playlist
His heart, is bigger than I could ever imagine

If I’m perfection, then he’s my perfections
If I’m beautiful, then he’s the beauty
If I’m his everything, he’s my soul
If I’m his symphony, he’s the entire song

He’s my past, and my future, and my present
He’s my winter, spring, summer and autumn
He’s my very flesh and bone
He’s my person, he’s my home

When he hugs me, I feel amazing
When he kisses me, I feel happy
When he looks at me, I feel loved
When he calls me his one and only, I call him my everything

He’s my lucky clover
He’s my valentine
He’s my treat
He’s my lover
