Let us remember for once more
And let’s keep breathing for now
To feel all that we used to have
As I don’t know how to drown
Let us remain here in this dream
Just sleep for a bit longer
Just until the rainstorm settles,
And the world is finally over.
Let me listen to your heartbeat,
Feel its echo on my palm
We can stay here until it dies
Floating in its sacred psalm.
Let me touch on your spirit now
With my iridescence hands
I get lost in kalopsia
As the dust of our soul blends
I’ll let you look at my bare skin,
See my face without a mask
Just please don’t leave me here alone
That’s the only thing I ask.
I’ll let you strike me with moonlight
As you make me feel alive
And I think I am a person
When I know that you’re around.
Let our souls become starfire
When the world falls silent, dark
I won’t be alone anymore,
As I’ll carry you in my heart.
Let the lone stars now fall from grace,
And forget about their celestial place,
With the end, let me sleep on your chest
Oh, love, where I can finally rest.

07/08/2024One of the most moving poems I have read of late.
Hold the moment. If only we could. You captured the
essence of love as we would like it to be , to last.
Your poem is beautiful and you are a very talented
young lady. Poetry is hard to write. It is so easy to
veer towards sentimentality but you have avoided this
and reached the heart. Thank you.

07/08/2024The poem is beautiful. I adored the love and emotion portrayed in it. The details catapulted me into another realm like I was experiencing it first-hand.
Thank you for sharing!
