The Importance of Growing
The time of highschool is slowly coming to an end, and with this end people all around me have been realizing they have to grow up. Now growing up has always been a thing that nobody can avoid, but why is it that going to college makes growing so scary? People seem to forget that growing up isn’t all about gaining responsibility, but it also means opening yourself up to new ideas.
Growing up is something that everyone wants to rush into when they are young. They always want to be a year older because we think it will allow us to be more independent. People fail to realize that with growing up you allow yourself to be open to new ideas. You meet new people with your growing. When you allow yourself to new things, it allows you to be exposed to new cultures and traditions.
The fact is in life you have to make decisions all the time about who is in your life. People are not always the best for you and you as a person have to make that decision. In my life I had to make this decision on many different occasions. You have to decide on what is best for you. If the situation you are in is the best, and when I had to look at certain people around me, i had to make that choice. That choice isn’t always the one you want to make, but it is a choice that is the best for you.
The importance of growing isn’t always present on your mind through life. When you are little you are more focused on learning how to be polite and courteous. The most important part of growing up is that moment when you realize that your mom, dad, or who ever is raising you is the most important thing in your life. That important moment is when you realize they have only tried doing the best for you, and always will try to do the best for you. My mother is the one person who has always been in my life trying to make us have an amazing life. She truly is amazing. She is the reason I choose to write about this topic. My mom always wants my brother and I to improve our lives as we grow.
Losing people in your life is another important way to grow. It is never easy to lose a person that you care for, but it teaches you the value of life. It teaches you more then the value of life, but it teaches you that when you grow up you have to live the best life you can. An amazing example of a person who lived the best life that they could and was loved when they past was my grandfather. His name was Mathew Cadwell and he had a great fight with stomach cancer. He was like a father to me and was the one person in my life that I can say made the biggest impact on me. He did everything he could to live the best life he could , and this is the one thing that I can do for him. He made sure that everyone in his life was taken care of just because he loved all of us. His memory will forever be with us, and he taught me the best part of growing is all of the memories you get to make with your loved ones.
Growing in life is important. Without growing you will never be able to open up to new ideas, see the world, or evolve as a person. Growing isn’t always present on your mind throughout your life, but somewhere someone is thinking about how important it is that you grow.
