A Gift in Disguise

*A Gift in Disguise*
Sade was on her way to work, she couldn't take the bus because she was late so she decided to trek while she did she thought" how am I going to pay tola's school fees, house rent is still there and Mama's health is detiorating, she needs to get the surgery, what are we going to eat " while she was deep in thought on how to help her sick mother and send her siblings to school suddenly she heard a cry .
She was shocked that who was crying then she saw a small baby boy dropped beside a dumpster, she thought"see this child oh , should I pick him or I should mind my business and go to work"
Let me go to work she Said then she turned back and saw the baby she went back to him and took him then she said"if I can take care of my sisters , my mom why can't I take care of you ". The baby had a facial distortion, one of his eyes was shaped irregularly, Sade looked at the baby and said"you're beautiful even with your condition".
After that very day Sade made a promise to herself to keep and raise that child as her own. She taught him good moral and values and she named him Oreoluwa meaning "the gift of the Lord". while Ore was growing Sade discovered that he had dyslexia and he partially had autism .
No matter what she took care of him and loved him, even with Ore's condition he had a good voice and he went to many auditions and he won . On a particular competition Ore sang and one of the judge looked at him and burst into tears .
Everyone was shocked why the judge was crying then she collected the microphone and said "Ore , you have a beautiful voice and I am proud of you, I want to tell you that I had a child like you , he had a facial distortion and he had dyslexia and he was partially autistic, because I was ashamed that I gave birth to a child like him, on one particular Dawn I got frustrated and I dropped him beside a dumpster along that Ikeja road" .
Everyone was shocked by what she revealed then Sade came on stage and said "Ma'am he is your son, I founded him beside a dumpster along the same Ikeja road .
The Judge began to cry and she promised to take Ore back but Ore said he wanted to stay with Sade and the judge came to visit Ore every weekend and she also helped Sade Foster her sister's education and she helped Sade's mom with the surgery.
Sade looked back at how she met Ore and she said "assuming I just walked and ignored the baby who knows where my mum, siblings and I will be , Ore is surely *A* *Gift in* *Disguise* .

The story teaches us that no matter what situation we are we must be ready to offer help.
It also teaches us that we should love the child God bless us with whether he/she is disabled or not we should always accept them wholeheartedly.

Yes. If everyone offered the help that they could, where would we be? I think you know! Well done.
