Little Things(Marla) The youth pastor looked up in surprise as his little girl came rushing toward him, her bright eyes and wide smile showing overflowing joy and excitement. She had just been outside and had brought a treasure inside.

Unfortunately, the youth pastor didn’t share the same feelings as his daughter when he saw that in her tiny hands she held a frog. “Can I keep him, Daddy?” she asked, her voice full of hope.

He definitely did not want a frog in the house. Deciding that this was a moment to share wisdom, he said, “Amy, if God wanted you to have a frog, He’d put one right on the doorstep.”

She was greatly disappointed as he led her to the door and outside. A short distance from the house, he instructed her to let the frog go. And that might have been the end of it. But of course, it wasn’t.

The next morning, father and daughter were going out the door together. And there (as you might have guessed), was a frog, waiting to be picked up and loved by a little girl.
