*I wrote this for a family member after she took in even more pets. There is indeed some truth to the story, but it's greatly exaggerated. Rest assured, despite the number that she has in real life, each one is greatly cared for and loved.
Once upon a time, there was a young woman named Jennifer. Jennifer had a sweet little dog, and Jennifer was happy. And her friends and relations said, “What a cute dog!”
But then she displayed some rather odd behavior. She started collecting pets as a sort of hobby. At one point she had two dogs, two cats, and a guinea pig. (Note: there are many unmentioned pets in this story, but there really are too many to talk about, so we are choosing this as our beginning.) Jennifer was happy, but her friends and relations said, “Jennifer, you have too many pets! You must stop!”
Jennifer only smiled and told them that they did not understand. For a while she was happy, but then she decided to get another cat, because she thought a third cat would complete her cat family, and she adopted a bird. Jennifer was happy, but her friends and relations said, “Jennifer, You have too many pets! You must stop!”
Jennifer only smiled and told them that they did not understand.
This continued until she had seven dogs, six cats, four guinea pigs, and three birds. Jennifer was happy, but she could see that it was too crowded in the house. She bought a bigger house. For a while she was happy, but her friends and relations said, “Jennifer! You have too many pets! You must stop!”
Jennifer only smiled and told them that they did not understand.
This continued until she had ten dogs, nine cats, eight guinea pigs and seven birds. For a while she was happy, but she could see it was too crowded in the house. This time she did not buy a bigger house. She found an abandoned town and fixed it up! She named it Jentown, because it sounds better than Jennifertown.
And to this day, the animal population in Jentown increases every year. Jennifer is happy. Her friends and relations have entirely given up telling her that she has too many pets. When her friends and relations want to see her, they meet her in a coffee shop!
