The 58 year old man is lying in his bed in hospital. He is suffering from a mortal illness. He has been in the same room for three weeks. He has noticeably lost weight and tiredness got hold of the details of his face. Yet, his eyes are shining, reflecting his self-pride and determination to defeat the sickness.

His wife says: “ Ali, direct your concentration on the positive side of the situation as you always do. Don’t forget what you always say about positive liberty.”

“I am doing my best to stay confident. I think my spirit is still fighting bravely.”

The wife, who is sitting beside her husband, stroking his hair gently, says tenderly:” You are my king and you will come back to our kingdom soon, very soon.”

The wife keeps smiling and stroking her soft touches on his head and face.

“ This period in this room makes me review many ideas and renew my vision about life. My love of life is growing stronger,” he says.

“More than your love for me?” she adds jokingly.

“ I can’t stay at home alone. Your presence is so overwhelming during your physical absence.”

“By the way, some friends never appear here.”

“They are busy. Surely, they have their excuses.”

“ I don’t think so. I know you are trying to cheer me up.”

He stops for seconds,keeps staring at the window on his right, and goes on: “Nevertheless, I am rational and I try to accept things. No room for disappointment, don’t worry.”

“ They withdraw at the first test and quickly.”
