I would die for you!
Born 1996, F, from Melbourne, AustraliaEgypt has a broad and extraordinary history. The ancient Gods and Goddesses are a myth but a very interesting mystery. The king deity is Amon. (Worshipped God). Split into two parts being ninety five percent Sunni Muslim and fifteen percent Coptic Orthodox Christian. Some Christians still believe in their Gods but Muslims are following the Islamic religion.
Seth and Sahara were born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. Sahara is a beautiful and elegant girl. Seth is a tall and handsome lad. Their love blossomed with fruition way back since their childhood. They grew up together. Shared their food together, during financial difficulties.
But when they were going to secondary school Sahara’s strict parents found out about their relationship. That they weren’t just friends. Because they were holding hands at school and public streets.
Sahara’s oldest brother Safwat is very religious and he extremely disapproves a Muslim marrying a Christian. After Sahara and Seth graduate secondary school, Seth thought that they’re not underage, they’re young adults, and that Safwat shouldn’t manipulate Sahara’s personal life anymore. But Seth was wrong. Because his culture is different.
When they should be planning to go to their university degree, they were making plans on how to keep their relationship alive without malicious influences. They were so in love and found it hard to even study for their accounting degree.
They wished to go to university together but that was impossible now. They can’t part separate ways either way; because they loved each other so much.
The couple still managed to meet up for dates secretly in private as much as they could. But for how long would it last for? Safwat was always keeping an eye on them…
On a fourth of September, the time is eight thirty-three in the evening. Tonight, the windiness has a cool breeze that feels fresh. The couple’s tummies are stirring with butterflies; as they’re holding hands in a deserted spot at Al Muizz Street; they begin to start their discussion,
“My love, it’s been more than ten years and I’ve known you my whole life. When we were kids, I didn’t know what love was but after we grew up into teenagers, I understood my feelings for you was love.” Sahara admits the longing truth.
“I know my love you can be sure that I feel the same way too. We’re old enough now to understand everything now. My feelings for you are so deep that I’m burning when your away. I want to be with you always and forever.” Seth replies.
They both hug silently. After a while, Sahara remembers something and her mood downfalls…
“But what are we going to do if we get attacked from Safwat? How will we escape from his evil wrath?” She asks.
“Don’t you worry my love I have a plan. We’ll run away together to a better place, America. Yes Kentucky. My uncle lives there; I have a VISA and passport; we’ll make a claim for you too. My uncle will help us. No one will find us there. Please trust me this is the only option for us” he reassures her.
Sahara paused and thought about it first, “Of course, I trust you you’re the man I love. I will go anywhere in the world with you” she confirms the plan.
Seth manages to organise Sahara’s VISA and passport to enter America. It was a difficult process but they finally succeeded. Seth then booked their flight tickets. He spent all his savings for university; but it was all worth it for his love for Sahara. He was ready to give up on everything for the women he loves!
So, they began packing their suitcases secretly to go to Kentucky. They’re content to travel but worried simultaneously.
The flight time is at three o’clock in the morning. Sahara’s mum and dad is asleep. And Safwat is usually in deep sleep on the couch after watching television by then so it’s not an issue she thought. However, she still tiptoed and moved her suitcase slowly to not make any noise. She opened the door, put her suitcase outside and the door accidently shut down loudly!
Safwat woke up! But luckily, he didn’t see her suitcase because it’s sitting outside.
“Um excuse me missy where are you off to at this time of night?” he asked disrespectfully.
“I just need to go to the um… twenty-four-hour pharmacy… um you know it’s an urgent women’s thing…” she lied and blushed after saying that.
“Oh, okay I see... Better not be a pregnancy test!” he snaped when he remembered that.
“No not at all”
“Good don’t be late” he said crossly.
“Sure, I won’t”
“Phew” that was close her inner voice said.
Without getting trapped again, they effortfully meet at the Cairo International Airport. The flight duration will be approximately twelve hours and twenty-three minutes. They boarded the Emirates Airlines aircraft and the plane took off with no delays.
Sahara seems like she is feeling ill…
“What’s wrong my love? are you okay?” Seth asks anxiously.
“Oh, it’s nothing I just have a bad feeling in my gut”
“don’t worry everything will be fine, you’re just nauseous from the plane”
Was Seth right or what was expected to happen no one could predict…
Seth told Sahara that everything would be fine. She believed him but still had that bad gut feeling…
“Hey I didn’t want to tell you and spoil your excitement but I almost got busted from my brother before leaving the house” she informed him.
“Oh my God I hope he didn’t hurt you or anything?”
“No, he used to hit me when I was a kid but not anymore so don’t worry, he didn’t”
“Oh… I always witnessed how he treated you but you never told me this before. I’m sorry to hear that but thank God, we made it!” he smiled broadly to cheer her up.
“I tried to hide it from you because I didn’t want you to be sad and I was scared you’ll get in a fight with my brother because… he has a gun.”
Seth was shocked and speechless when he heard that…
Five hours passed by eating breakfast and sleeping. The flight was stable at first and trouble free. Suddenly the plane started to slowly shake up and down. Sahara woke up, glanced at Seth with a terrified face and dilated eyes. He held her hand firmly, kissed and cuddled her to calm her down.
“It’s okay my love it’s probably just turbulence” he said.
The captain’s announcement said the plane had turbulence. It got worse every ten to fifteen minutes. The flight attendants were comforting all the passengers so no one panicked but it was no use.
All the passengers including the couple were yelling from the horrifying fear. The seatbelt sign was on and oxygen masks were provided. But Sahara couldn’t care less, unfastened her seatbelt, grabbed Seth’s hand and dragged him straight towards the back of the plane.
A flight attendant scowled and tried to stop them,
“Excuse me madam and sir you must return to your seat immediately for your own safety!” the hostess shouted.
But they ignored her, they carried on running to the back. Luckily the hostess was unable to come after them because she was too busy attending to other passengers that were squealing from the fear of Azrael’s (death angel) dictating death order!
“Where are we going?” Seth asked looking puzzled.
“Just come with me. Look I don’t want to die like this let’s create our own destiny”
“What do you mean?”
They reached the back. Sahara pointed her finger towards the exit door.
“Let’s jump off the exit door. Only then it’ll be less painful”
“Oh my god, are you serious?”
“positive”
Seth thought about it for a while and made his decision.
“Okay this is so romantic. I thought we were going to live a wonderful life together. But even if we don’t have that chance anymore, I’d rather die our own way rather than die in a crash. Yes, let’s do it!”
They got so nervous and shaky that Seth chuckled as if it’s hilarious! Sahara giggled with him too. As if they had lost their minds from their love and the terrifying fear of dying! The plane is still shaking but severely this time that it seems as though it’s about to turn sideways and upside down. So, they no longer want to waste their precious time…
Before they jump over, they wanted to express their last vows.
Trembling and crying out loud,
“I love you so much always and forever” she said.
“I love you too my love” he replied.
Weeping and sobbing like running tap water and grasping hands, they attached their wings like two white angels, and flew out of the exit door. They will still die either way but at least in their own destined way. Safwat tried to control their future but nobody can play with their life now. At least not here. Not anymore.
They fell down in the Atlantic Ocean. Meanwhile the plane also crashed there. Sadly, no passengers or cabin crew survived. The couple couldn’t live their beautiful, youthful days in Kentucky, have kids, or die old, but they’re now resting in peace together in heaven. And nobody can hurt them. Or separate them. Which is the only upside to their tragic love story.
