Zen 08 - A nightmare

Alright, let me tell you this wild story about a spaceship called ‘Nova Explorer’. It was on a mission to explore a new planet called Zen 08. Captain Alexander Wilkinson was the leader of the crew, and he was super excited because he believed this planet could be a new home for humanity.
As they prepped for landing, Captain Alexander shouted, “Prepare for the descent!” I couldn’t believe how thrilling it must have felt! But then, everything started to go wrong. The ship started shaking violently, and warning lights blinked on every screen. It was like something straight out of a sci-fi movie—one of those where everything that can go wrong, does go wrong!
Dr. Davison Rhodes, the ship’s botanist, was pacing back and forth. He looked really worried, and I could tell something wasn’t right. “Something doesn’t feel right, Alexander,” he said, glancing at the screens that showed strange data.
I imagined the crew peeking out the windows as they descended. Zen 08 had looked beautiful from space, but now it seemed kind of scary. The trees were swaying oddly, and their leaves were this creepy red colour. It felt like a horror movie was about to start, and I could almost hear the suspenseful music building.
Then, all of a sudden, the ship tilted to one side, and the lights went out, dropping everything into darkness. I could almost hear everyone holding their breath. At that moment, the intercom crackled, and a voice echoed through the darkness, filled with urgency and seriousness.
“Alexander, we need to talk. Now.”
As the tension grew, Captain Alexander spoke up, saying, “I am not weak; I am not a threat to the evolution of science, in fact, I discovered the Zen 08 planet where human beings can stay.”
Dr. Davison Rhodes: Don’t tell me that nonsense you discovered. Zen 08 has no water, no gravity. It has 78% oxygen and behaves like nitrogen. Our Anomaly detectors have confirmed that the magnetic field around Zen 08 is preventing us from entering the planet.
Alexander Wilkinson: Our spaceships are in the dark, the electric generator is dead, and the atmosphere of Zen 08 is getting worse. We should cancel this mission.
Dr. Davison Rhodes: But we need to reach the Sun! Our solar system is vast, and we must observe every planet.
Alexander Wilkinson: we detected Carbon dioxide in the air, but it is only 2 % The trees are photosynthesizing, yet they’re somehow producing CO2. How is that possible?
Dr. Davison Rhodes: I don’t know, a big guy with a nerdy face. What else do you see?
Alexander Wilkinson: Oh no! These plants are attacking our team! They’re absorbing our men. They’re producing some kind of liquid, and it’s incredibly toxic!
Dr. Davison Rhodes: How can this happen? Plants are always autotrophic! They cannot absorb humans. You must be joking, as you always do.
Alexander Wilkinson: No…No! … That liquid is going into my mouth. It is like toxic water! Blah…Blah…I am vomiting!
Dr. Davison Rhodes: Oh! … What type of plants have you discovered? Are they ‘Manthalin?’
Alexander Wilkinson: They are breathing, Oh...no… the plants are moving! How is that possible? They are like Zombies!
Dr. Davison Rhodes: Damn it! I was afraid this could happen. I researched these plants—they're Zombie Plants. They produce a liquid called Therontem, which can kill humans.
Dr. Davison Rhodes: Here are the characteristics of Zombie Plants:
1) They have leaves, but their leaves are red.
2) They possess a mouth-like structure to produce Therontem.
3) They can turn you into a zombie.
Alexander: Sir… your sister Angelina has been ripped apart by those plants. Her left hand is in two pieces!
Dr. Davison Rhodes: His face turns pale. “No… not Angelina. We have to get out of here now. We need to save whoever we can and find a way back to the ship.”
Alexander Wilkinson: Breathing heavily, his voice shakes. “It’s too late! They’re surrounding us, and I don’t know how many of the crew are left. The plants are moving faster, closing in like they know we’re trying to escape.”
Dr. Davison Rhodes: He slams his fist on the panel in frustration. “Damn it, Alexander! We underestimated this place. Zen 08 isn’t just dangerous—it’s alive, and it’s hunting us.”
Alexander Wilkinson: Eyes wide with panic, he looks at the emergency exit. “What do we do? We need a way to fight back, something to stop them. We can’t just run forever.”
Dr. Davison Rhodes: He takes a deep breath to steady himself. “Listen, there’s only one way. We need to find where that liquid, the Therontem, is coming from. If we destroy it, we might weaken the plants and have a chance to escape.”
Alexander Wilkinson: He nods, determined. “Alright, let’s do this. But we need to move fast—time’s running out.”
