Prayer that saves a life(Seniha Haksever) The world geography is gigantic and a magnificent masterpiece created by the heavenly father, God. Four best friends met at Castaway Cay for Disney Cruising and water slides in Bahamas five years ago.

On this sticky, tropical July day, the four have reunited together again to travel the world. Their selected transports are by car, plane and boat. As well as bicycles during mountain hiking.

Annamaria is from Darwin, Australia. Her late father has granted her to be the power of attorney; to be responsible for her lands and his last will and testament is for her to help raise money for an orphanage.

Claudia is from Chicago, USA. She has graduated high school, is eighteen and legal to travel for schoolies. Deniz is from London, United Kingdom. He has won the lottery jackpot and some more money from the slot machine; (gambling). So, he decided to travel the great wonders of the world.

Isayah is from Montreal, Canada. His hobbies are to travel, live young, wild and free before settling in for his career, marriage and kids.

The four best friends have travelled together to countless countries. They have been to Europe and other countries such as: Bahamas, Maldives, Paris, Sweden, Switzerland, Latvia, Sicily, Estonia, Czech Republic and South America etc. At the moment they’re enjoying their time in Jamaica.

This time their vacation is to the Dominican Republic by a sailing yacht boat. It will be an eleven-day nonstop cruise.

The yacht boat was sailing smoothly with stability and there were no disruptions. Suddenly the boat began to slowly shrink. This lasted for multiple days and then it started to sink deeper and deeper. Until they reached day ten.

But they had no idea about this and didn’t notice anything until now. The danger signal also ringed but because they were too occupied with dancing and drinking Vodka (Cruiser Wild Raspberry flavour); and having the time of their lives, they didn’t hear anything from being drunkard.

The boat is flooding with water…
“Oh shit! What’s happening to this boat? And our Marine radio service and phones have died.” Captain Deniz asks who is in charge of steering the boat.
“I don’t know but something is wrong the water is filling us up. Let me go and do a hazard check” Isayah marches off.
“Oh my God” he mutters under his breath and sighs.
“So? What’s wrong?” Deniz asks.
“Um… erm… I don’t know how to say this but…”
“Just spill the beans!”
“Okay there’s no easy way to say this but… there is a massive hole under the bilge…” (meaning under the structure of the boat).
“Oh my God!”

Annamaria and Claudia come to the scene and they see everything with their own eyes…

“Oh no! We’re going to sink and die like Titanic!” Annamaria cries.
“Even worse we’re going to get eaten by sharks!” Claudia sugarcoats it.
“Okay hang on ladies calm down; I got this we’re not going to die; I’m going to think of something to solve the issue” Deniz tries to be positive.

The girls begin to cry and hug each other but the guys are keeping calm and strong to fix the problem. Meanwhile the boat is sinking down deeper.

Normally, the Caribbean Sea is crowded in the summer season when tourists come to visit. But somehow there is no one to be seen for them to call for help or no access to WIFI/phone reception or radio service because it all got damaged from the high flood even if it’s waterproof.

“Okay we can’t stay in this boat any longer otherwise we’re going to drown so we must get off and find another boat” Deniz demands.
“But there is no one around let alone find a boat as big for us to fit in!” Isayah disagrees.
“Well, do you have a better plan?”
He has no comment for that so he must commit. The group gets off the boat and swims in the sea for a while…

“Here there’s a small Dinghy boat over there” the captain says.
“But this is too small how long can we even last in this thing?” Isayah complains.
“Well, it’s better than nothing” Deniz replies.

The group climbed up into the boat by squeezing and squashing one another to fit in and the guys began rowing. The hours passed dreadfully till the end of the day; with a melancholic and mourning mood from the fear of dying and what was to await next…

Suddenly something tremendous and heavyweight lifted the boat up and the group fell into the seawater! The girls spider lashes are dripping down black ink from the sapphire water.

“Oh my God what was that?” Annamaria yelled frightenedly.
“It was a shark. A Tiger shark. I saw it!” Claudia answered with petrifying panic.
“Okay calm down ladies it’s gone okay” Isayah perseveres the girls using his masculine manhood.

The group continues to swim no matter what. It is day eleven and there are hours left to fully arrive to their destination. Fortunately, they were lucky enough to survive the most of the trip but will they make it to the seashore only God knew…

“Come on guys we need to keep going we can do it!” Deniz encourages the rest.
“How can you be so fearless captain underpants? We’re in the middle of the Caribbean Sea who knows if we will get eaten by sharks!” Claudia questions the guy’s confidence.

Deniz catches her gaze and answers, “this is what it’s like to be a strong man sweetheart. When I was in the army one of my inmates arm got cut off but I had to support him to see the trauma in a grateful way. He only got one cut off not two. Some people have no hands, arms or legs.”

“Oh, fair enough” she understood his point now.
“But this is not the same thing we can die any second!” she unsatisfyingly added.

Suddenly Annamaria feels something touching her behind her back. “Ahh help me!” she roars with horror. The sapphire water makes loud splashes. It’s the Tiger shark! The width is humongous and its teeth are sharp as a knights sword!

Claudia tries to pull her forward but she fails. The shark butchered her and she is underwater that’s turned to bloodred gore!

Claudia breaks down and cries loudly. The guys are shocked and they put their hands on their heads trying to process what has happened. They just stood there frozen and still…

A few minutes pass and the rest of the group swims with a high speed; gasping for breath from the fear of getting caught by the shark. This time the shark is coming from the front targeting Isayah’s direction.

Isayah views the shark and growls. “Ahh!” it happened so fast that the shark mauled and swallowed him in one mouthful gulp and Deniz couldn’t do anything to save his friend.

Deniz and Claudia hug and cry for the death of their five-year beloved friends. Only the two are left out of the four. Will they survive? Only God knows… After they finish their mourning, they swim again and it is the end of day eleven so they’re almost arriving to the Dominican Republic.

“Hey look there’s a rock over there” Deniz says. They quickly swim with hope to reach the large russet-brown rock. But a shark is behind them… “Oh my God shark!” Claudia exclaims. “Quick quick hurry” Deniz commands. Claudia manages to get on top of the rock first and is waiting for Deniz with her hand out.

“God please save my friend the way you saved Jesus”. Claudia prayed silently. And as soon as she said Amen, the shark stopped and she picked up Deniz onto the rock. The savaged creature just kept staring at them and then turned around and disappeared!

“Oh my God what happened he just stopped and swam away!” Deniz was shocked. “I prayed for you and God accepted my prayer” Claudia replied. “Wow thank you so much you saved my life!” he hugged her and they swam to the shoreline.

Fortunately, it wasn’t too far so there’s obviously no sharks close to the shoreline. They have now safely arrived in the Dominican Republic.

Out of the four only two survived. Thanks to Claudia’s prayer had it not been for her, Deniz wouldn’t have made it. But one thing that she has remorse and a guilty conscience is for not praying for her other friends.

The reason probably was because her brain stopped functioning from the fear of death. This is understandable but if she could, maybe they would of all survived…
So, from now on she promises God that she will pray more and be a better Christian.
