MOHDO
Born 2004, M, from Lagos, NigeriaHere is an expanded version of the story:
The old church had been their home for as long as any of them could remember. Six orphan teens, four boys and two girls, had grown up within its walls, exploring every nook and cranny. The church's stone floors had been their playground, its pews their hiding spots, and its stained glass windows their canvas for daydreams.
The teens had formed a makeshift family, relying on each other for support and companionship. There was Sarah, the quiet and reserved bookworm, who spent most of her free time reading and studying the Bible. Jake, the charming and confident leader, who had a natural talent for leadership and a quick wit that always seemed to get them out of trouble. Emily, the creative and free-spirited artist, who expressed herself through music, painting, and writing. Matt, the logical and analytical thinker, who loved solving puzzles and mysteries. Chris, the athletic and adventurous thrill-seeker, who was always looking for the next adrenaline rush. And finally, there was Ben, the gentle and compassionate peacekeeper, who always put others before himself.
Despite their differences, the teens had learned to work together, relying on each other's strengths to overcome their weaknesses. They had formed a bond that went beyond mere friendship – they had become a family.
But on this particular day, something felt off. A sense of restlessness hung in the air, like the calm before a storm. The teens went about their daily routine, but their usual banter and laughter seemed forced.
It wasn't until they stumbled upon the strange door in the back of the church that they realized why they had been feeling so uneasy. The door seemed to pulsate with an otherworldly energy, drawing them in with an irresistible force.
"Guys, what is this?" Emily asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I don't know, but I think we should check it out," Jake replied, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
Without a word, the six teens exchanged nervous glances and pushed the door open. A blinding light enveloped them, and when their vision cleared, they found themselves standing in a realm unlike anything they had ever seen.
Rolling hills of purple grass stretched out before them, punctuated by twisted trees that seemed to writhe in agony. The air was thick with an eerie, pulsating energy that seemed to vibrate through every cell in their bodies.
As they looked around in awe, a figure emerged from the distance. Its presence seemed to shake the very foundations of the realm, causing the ground to tremble beneath their feet.
Mohdo, the Almighty, loomed over them, its eyes blazing with malevolent fury. The teens could feel its power radiating towards them, like a palpable force that threatened to consume them whole.
"You have entered this realm uninvited," Mohdo thundered, its voice like a crack of lightning. "To escape, you must first defeat me. But be warned: I am invincible."
The teens exchanged terrified glances, but one of them, Sarah, spoke up. "We have something that might give us a chance," she said, producing a worn leather book from her backpack.
The Holy Bible, used by Jesus Himself, seemed to radiate a gentle, pulsing light. As Sarah opened the book, the words on its pages began to shimmer and dance, filling the air with a sweet, heavenly scent.
With newfound determination, the teens prepared to face Mohdo. The battle that ensued was fierce and chaotic, with the teens using their wits and whatever they could find to try and defeat the Almighty.
But it was Sarah, clutching the Holy Bible, who ultimately proved to be the key to their victory. As she read from the book, its words seemed to take on a life of their own, striking Mohdo with the power of faith and redemption.
The Almighty let out a deafening roar as it stumbled backwards, its defenses breached. The teens took advantage of the opening, pressing their attack with renewed hope.
In the end, it was a combination of their bravery, teamwork, and the power of the Holy Bible that allowed them to emerge victorious. Mohdo, the Almighty, lay defeated at their feet.
As they turned to make their way back to the door, they found that it had vanished. In its place stood a figure they recognized – Jesus Himself.
"Well done, my children," He said, smiling. "You have proven your faith and your courage. As a reward, I will return you to your own world, and grant you a special gift – the knowledge and power to spread hope and redemption to those around you."
And with that, the six teens found themselves back in the old church, the Holy Bible still clutched in Sarah's hand. Though they never forgot their incredible journey, they knew that their true adventure was only just beginning.
As they emerged from the church, blinking in the bright sunlight, they knew that they had been changed forever. They had faced their
