My faithful fish who passed away
Born 2015, M, from Ho Chi Minh, Viet NamOne beautiful day, I caught a lot of fishes in my tank of fishes. They are all guppies and one stood out the most, a male guppy with a blazing pattern of all the hot colors. I took all of the fishes in the house and they were the best fish. Chubby ones and thin ones, the fishes with black like coal and some are colorful like fire or a leaf that's blends in with the duckweed. All of them were rare catches and I loved them all. But everyone must have their favorite fish or maybe more than two.
My favorite fishes was the two fishes which stood out the most named Phoenix and Vivid Green.
I rushed to my sister and told the good news that I caught Phoenix and we tried to figure out his name. So we simply named him Phoenix and his green buddy Vivid Green (which you already know, but figuring their names was difficult). Let's set Vivid Green aside and this is about Phoenix the blazing fish who was the special one.
He was just a tiny fish when I got him. At first, he was flustered in his new tank and tried to jump out of the fishes tank. But I knew that fishes will usually jump out of their bowl. So I simply just put a cap on top of the tank. What I didn't knew that if I put a cap on top, the fish may suffocate. And I just put the cap off. Every day I saw him, I would turn my head to my sister and say:
"Hey sister, do you like Phoenix?" I would say in a loving voice.
"Of course." she would always reply in a happy voice.
We always love our fish and suddenly, a dark day came to my fishes is when there was a wipe out. Some of our favorite fish just went up to heaven. With only chubby guppies, Phoenix, Vivid Green and a few of my baby fishes, the wipe out was so big that around ten fishes passed away. I and my sister thought it was the end of all of my fishes.
But just few days later, another happened and I and my sister again, just felt sorry for the fishes. But that wipe out, Phoenix's buddy passed away. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I buried him. But Phoenix was still ALIVE! I couldn't believe a strong fish would die. So wipe out to wipe out to wipe out. Phoenix still stayed strong and just when I ran out of food, all my fishes was starving. Every fish was just begging me for food. But I couldn't afford but to feed them duckweed. They didn't like the duckweed so they didn't eat it. Slowly, they passed away. But when I was buying food for the fishes, Phoenix perished and left me and my sister.

12/29/2024You did a great job of showing me how it felt to have a pet you could care for and how it felt to lose them. This may be your best story yet. Did you read "Are Your Protagonists Living" by Darrell Case, which was posted just before yours? It seems like you followed his advice. Keep up the good writing!
