Good vs. Evil---Another Fable
Born 1929, M, from Roseville/CA, United States2025GdEvil2 (Approx. 400 wds.)
Good vs, Evil---Another Fable
Evil was once again paying a visit to Good. As described in the previous fable, Good lived in an airy residence on a mountaintop from whivh he had magnificent views. Evil of course lived in a dank cave from which he hatched his nefarious plots. On this visit Evil didn’t try to persuade Good to give up his losng fight against Evil in the face of the overwhelming evidence that he had no chance of prevailing. Instead, they discussed current events. Evil commented on the wars still going on in Ukraine and the Mideast and the prospect of China taking over Taiwan. Good pointed out that the Covid epidemic had finally wound down. Evil observed that basketball had become a game of three-pointers and baseball a game of home runs or strikeouts. Good noted that women’s basketball had become muh more popular. Evil talked about the state of modern music, films and television. They agreed that it was too early to tell about President Trump but Evil had high hopes for him. They also agreed that AI might be good but could be bad for the world.
By this time it was getting late. Good escorted Evil outside and observed that it was a beautiful sunset. On his previous visit, Evil had pushed Good off the mountainside. Despite this, they went to the mountain’s edge to get a better view. Evil, being evil, couldn’t help himself. He knew he shouldn’t but he went to once again push Good over the edge. However, this time Good, cognizant of what had happened befor, nimbly stepped aside and Evil went tumbling down the mountainside, landing at the bottom in a crumbled heap.
Good looked down and saw the body stirring. Good knew he’d regret it but, being Good, he had no choice, he climbed down the mountain, picked up Evil’s body and, risking himself, carried it back up. Over the next weeks, Good nursed Evil back to health. Finally, Evil was ready to leave and return to his dank cave. “Thanks for saving me,” he said to Good. “I still don’t know why you did it.” Good shrugged. “I had to; it’s in my nature.” “And it’s in my nature to do Evil. I have to hurry now. I have a lot of catching up to do.” Good sighed. He could foresee having a lot of work to do.
Moral: Since this is a fable there has to be a moral. How about there’ll always be a lot of evil in the world and a little bit of good. Or you can make up your own.

This is simply brilliant! Rivals any of the "fables" I have heard in my Life to get a point across. Wonderful. Just simply wonderful. I am hoping that Good, develops a backbone someday. LOL
Smiles, Kevin
