On Mondays,
Grandma picked me up from school.
She turned the key,
and off were we.
Simon and Garfunkel played,
her voice sang along.
She read to me, the words floating like clouds.
She drew pictures
a house, a tree,
a little person that looked like me.
Little did I know,
Mondays would stop.
One day,
the car was still,
the music was gone.
But when I hear that song,
when I draw,
when I read,
I feel her close,
singing along.
