DEEP DOWN BELOW

One night I had a dream
About entering a hill side
In the Andes
Where was I heading?
Where was I going to end up?
I went through a passage
Which led to a cavern
With stalagmites and stalactites
And a lake in the centre
Beyond that point
There were caves and passages
Leading down and down
Into the bowels of the Earth
How far had I gone?
How deep was I now?
I did not know
At one point
I saw a purple light
At the end of a passage
I went towards the light
Until I reached the passage end
Beyond the passage
There was a vast cavern
Lit up by purple light
Gigantic crystals grew everywhere
And mighty tunnels branched
Off into the unknown
I longed to know
Where they led
But I never found out
Because the dream ended
