NIGHTMARE IN THE FOREST

One, cold winter’s night, a pair of poachers entered a forest, rifles in hand.

The Moon was shining through the trees and onto the snow-covered ground. So it wasn’t dark.

The poachers came across deer and other game animals, but they paid no attention to them.

They were after something else.

At one point, the poachers came across a set of footprints, going off in another direction.

The prints were unlike those of any other known animal.

They were two feet long and bird-like in shape.

The poachers followed the prints for two to three miles, until they came to an enormous hollow.

Within the hollow, there was a huge, bird-like reptile, feeding off a full-grown stag. The monster stood five metres tall and was about ten metres long. It had long arms, ending in gripping claws and a large mouth, full of ferocious teeth.

The terrified poachers positioned themselves among some large bushes and prepared to fire.

As they did so, the monster looked up and stared right at the poachers.

The petrified poachers waited for the monster to attack, but for some reason, it didn’t. It continued to feed instead.

Then something else happened.

Two more giant reptiles poked their heads out of the bushes. They stared at the poachers with their jaws wide open. One on either side.

The horrified poachers tried to fire at them, but it was too late.

The monsters gave deafening roars and seized them like lightning.
