The Fisherman and the Whale Who Ate Gold

Once upon a time, on a sunny little island, lived a fisherman and his family. Every day, the fisherman caught lots of fish — big fish, little fish, and shiny fish! That was all they ate every day.
But one day, the mommy said, “Oh no, not fish again! I want to try yummy food from other places!” So while Daddy was fishing, she flew away on a giant bird to find new food. She didn’t come back, and Daddy felt very sad.
After resting for a long time, Daddy put on his slippers like a boat — yes, slippers! — and paddled back out to sea. Do you know what he caught?
A WHALE!
A huge, splashy, smiling whale!
Daddy brought the whale home, brushed it, dressed it, and the whale became his friend — like family! But guess what? This whale didn’t eat fish. It ate money! Coins, bills — chomp chomp chomp!
Daddy worked and worked, but the whale kept eating.
And the story teaches us to be happy with what we have and choose wisely who we take care of.
