The Prince And The Dragon
The year was 1382 in the medieval times in Scotland. The enormous mountains, and lakes in a wide-open grassy meadow-like valley surrounded a castle made of stone. Inside the castle lived two brothers of the royal family. The youngest brother, Angus was born to be a free spirited, fun loving, and adventurous Prince. The oldest brother, Drago, was born with a secret curse. His eternal curse is his Dragon transformation. Ever since his toddler years, Drago transforms into a Dragon day and night only when his magic scar glows across his eye. And because of that, he would have to keep his Dragon transformation and his Dragon form from everyone, especially Angus.

On his 25th birthday in November, Drago was coroneted to be the King of Scotland and then everyone celebrated by having a party. But then suddenly, half of Drago’s Dragon transformation was revealed to the public. He grew giant massive wings, razor sharp claws, glowing yellow eyes; his skin turns into scales and then he sneezed a fireball out of his nose. Everyone in the kingdom was terrified of him transforming into a monster, and just when he grows bigger and bigger, he flew out of the castle through the cieling while Angus looked stunned by his appearance for the first time. A comedic jester with a dunce cap on his head named Findel rushes from the other room and said, “What was that? Did the dragon eat the king?!!”

Prince Angus picks up a crown from the floor and answered, “No…the dragon WAS the king!”

The royal ambassador named Allina walks towards him in a hurry and said, “Angus! There’s something you need to see!”

Angus, Findel, Allina, and the guards rushes through the front doors of the castle and found that Drago was sneezing fireballs out of his nose, repeatedly, destroying the houses, farms, and building. The irritated villagers march towards Prince Angus at the front yard of the castle.

“Prince Angus!” said the first villager, “What is the meaning of this?!”

“That dragon burned my house!” shouted the second villager.

“That serpent destroyed my crops!” shouted the Scottish farmer, “And my farm!”

“We demand some answers NOW!” shouted the village woman.

“What will we do, your highness?!” said the fourth villager.

“Are we safe?!” shouted the fifth villager.

“No, no, guys, you don’t understand,” Angus answered, “That dragon was actually my brother!”

The villagers begin to gasp in horror and shock. One of the villagers points his pitch fork at him and ask, “Is there savagery in you too?! Are you a dragon too?!”

“What? No! I’m a human! A perfectly ordinary human!”

A tall, pale yet sinister looking man with a dark robe with a tall staff in his hand named Barnabus Slade walks towards the people and said, “The prince is right. He has never contracted with dragon abilities or powers. Never has, and never will.”

Prince Angus begins to sigh and responds, “Thank you, Barnabus.”

“This dragon is up front to nature!” The first villager yelled, “It must be DESTROYED!”

“No, NO! You got it all wrong! Drago is my brother! He didn’t mean any of this to happen! He was…scared!” Angus sighs, “Alright, how’s about I will bring him directly to the castle and then we’ll somehow…find a way to change him back.”

“And how would you even do that?”

“Trust me, I got everything under control!” Angus turns to one of his royal guards, “Could you bring me my horse.”

“Now wait a second, Angus.” Said Barnabus as he catches up to Angus while touching his shoulder. “This is a fire-breathing beast after all, are you sure that you can do this?”

“Chancellor, I have to do this. I can trust him. He’s still my brother, through and through!”

Allina rushes towards Angus and touches his hand and says, “Angus…”

“Yes?”

“This is just in case you don’t make it.” Allina gives Angus a big loving hug with her arms rapped around him and gives him a kiss.

“Thanks for that, Allina.” The prince mounts on his pet horse, Nessy and holds her bridle. He then announces to the kingdom, “Everyone, I leave Barnabus Slade in charge until I return!” Angus whips the horse’s bridle, rides away from the castle and through the damage village as he races towards the deep dark forest up ahead.

Allina looks ahead towards Angus as he rides away on his horse. Barnabus comes forward towards Allina and puts his hand on her shoulder, which startles her. While she stares at the old man, Barnabus said with a charming tone of voice, “You know, my dear now seems to be a very good time for the two of us to get to know one another. Maybe even coming closer. Wouldn’t you say?”

“Umm…maybe,” Allina responds nervously, “But…I don’t know I…I just…I just needed some air.” The female ambassador walks away from Barnabus as she runs directly towards the castle.

“Please, take all the time you need. All week if you must.” Barnabus looks ahead towards Allina as she runs into the castle, putting on his fake grin on his face. By the time she runs further into the castle, Barnabus makes an evil sinister glare on his face with his eyebrows meeting in the middle. “There’s going to be a lot of changes around here.” Barnabus looks to the other side towards the forest with Angus in the far distance. “An enormous amount of changes.”

Angus rides on his horse through the dark forest filled with enormous trees until he suddenly sees the bushes brushes in front of him until the comedic jester, Findel leaps out of the bushes, lands on the ground, opens his arms with the confetti flowing out of his arms and says, “TA-DAAAA!!!!”

Angus raises his eyebrows and responds, “Uuuh, what’s the joke?”

“What Joke?”

“You just randomly burst out of the bushes with confetti and yelled, ‘Ta-Daa’, like what’s that about?”

“Well, lets just say, a jester never reveals his secrets. Except that you’re probably wondering that I was at the castle until I bust a smoke bomb and then…TA-DAAAA!!!!”

“Okay, that is…kinda pointless.”

“Yeah, I know, I need to do better with my material.”

“Anyways, Findle, what are you doing out here?”

“Well, since you and your brother are my favorite audiences back when you were kids, I just thought I would help you along. You know, to keep you company. Like I always do.”

“Okay, well, if anything happens, Findel, just stay close, okay.”

“Ookie Dookie!” The jester mounts on the horses back behind Angus and the two of them rides through the forest. “So…do you know the whole King of Scotland turned into a beast scenario?”

“Not really. In fact, not at all! Well, at least from what I remembered.” Angus and Findel continue to ride through the dark forest. “This is gonna be dangerous!”

“Danger, Ha! I’m not afraid of danger! In fact, danger is my specialty, right next to comedy! Trust me, your looking at the master at facing all dan…” Angus stops his horse in front of an enormously dark and mysterious cave infested with nocturnal mythical creatures. The two of them stares at the cave in awe. “All except that one!”

“What?”

“Yeah, I think it’ll be safer if I stay out here.” Findel slowly walks off Nessy’s back.

“Wha-but, I thought you were gonna stay with me so I won’t get hurt!”

“Oh, yes-yes, of course-of course, its just…going into the deep dark, cave…filled with monsters, and ogres, and giants, and werewolves and-

“Okay, how about this, until I find Drago, whatever he turns into, you are going to have to stay outside of the cave, okay?”

“Oh, thank god! Oh, and just in case,” Findel reaches into his pocket and brings out a dagger, a sword, his scepter, a bunny rabbit, a few doves, some flowers, marbles, and finally, a lit torch, “Ah-hah! Just what you needed!” Findel gives the torch to Angus

“How did you keep all that stuff in there?”

“Trust me, you don’t wanna know. Oh, and Angus…”

“Yes?”

Findel begins to sigh, “Be careful.”

“Thank you. Okay, here I go.” So Angus whips the horse’s bridle went into the cave on his horse with a lit torch in his hand. Inside the cave is filled with gigantic boulders and rocks on the left and right side of the cave itself. The prince rides past a giant ogre, sleeping on the left side while leaning on a boulder. “He’s gotta be in here somewhere.”

Suddenly, a drop of spit falls on his shoulder. Angus looks up to the ceiling of the cave and sees a giant male werewolf hunching on a rock monolith, as he is ready to pounce while he bears his razor sharp teeth. The prince gasps with horror and the werewolf pounces towards him as the horse rears up and makes a loud neighing sound. Angus turns her bridle to the left and rides away from the werewolf until another werewolf pounces right in front of him, causing his horse to rear up and whinnied.

The prince rides through the cave as a pack of more werewolves appears from all sides of the cave and started to chase him towards a dead end. As the werewolves got him cornered from all sides, surrounding Angus and his horse, Nessy, a fireball shoots into the ground and a giant dragon-like creature swoops down towards them with his massive wings flapping through the cave. The dragon-like creature fights off the werewolf pack with his tail, claws, teeth and fire-breath, until finally, the werewolves ran away from in fear. The dragon creature opens his wings and makes a loud ferocious roar with his jaws wide opened.

Angus is now stunned by what he sees and responds, “Thank you…for saving my life.”

“Don’t mention it.” Said the dragon-like beast.

“You sound so familiar to me, do I know you from somewhere?”

“I-its best not to read into it.”

“Anyways, I’m looking for my brother, Drago. He…almost turned into a dragon not too long ago. He grew wings, claws, and a tail, and…I-it’s a long story-

“I think you found him.”

“Really? Where is he?”

“He’s right here in front of you.”

“Turn so I can see you.” The giant creature turns his massive body towards Angus and reveals to be Drago in his complete form of a gigantic European Flight Dragon with green scales all over his body and has the height of 15 feet tall and the wingspan of 65 feet. Angus is now stunned by his massive and intimidating size. “Whoah, Drago, you look so…big…but in a good way. And this place…its…its so dark!”

“I know, but Angus, this is where I belong. This is exactly where a dragon should be.”

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a dragon, you’re still my brother! You still belong with me back in Scotland!”

“No, I don’t! Not anymore. I’m a danger towards the entire kingdom and I’m a danger towards society in general!”

“So you accidentally sneezed on some houses and farms in the village, but that doesn’t mean that you’re bad!”

“Angus, look at me! I’m a monster! A giant demon! A threat to all mankind!”

“Drago, I don’t care if you’re a dragon, or a werewolf, or a griffin!”

“Angus!”

“You are still MY brother! Out of anyone!”

“Angus!”

“You can always belong in the castle with me!”

“ANGUS! There’s no point of me coming back anymore. I can no longer go back to Scotland, just as you could no longer see me.”

“Drago?”

“I’m sorry, Angus, I can’t go back. I belong here in this cave and that’s all there is to it. Goodbye Angus.” Drago walks away from Angus on his four legs, walking towards the void until Angus jumps off of his horse and stab his tail with his sword. “Ow!” The dragon turns around towards an angry Angus. “Angus what’s gotten into you?”

“Day after day, month after month, year after year, YOU ALWAYS PUSH ME AWAY!!”

“I only push you away so I can protect you!”

“FROM WHAT?!”

“FROM ME!!”

“I rode all this way away from the castle just to come and get you, AND NOW YOU’RE SHUTTING ME OUT?!!”

“Its for the benefit of your safety!”

“SAFETY?!! Drago, we used to do everything together when we were kids and now we couldn’t communicate with each other anymore! You always close yourself away from me! Away from everybody!”

“ANGUS! FOR THE LAST TIME, I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO SCOTLAND!! NOW PLEASE, GET OUT OF THIS CAVE RIGHT NOW BEFORE SOMETHING TERRIBLE WILL HAPPEN!”

“I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE! I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL I BRING YOU BACK TO SCOTLAND! EVEN IF I HAVE TO FIGHT YOU FOR IT!” Angus unsheathes his sword towards Drago.

Drago opens his eyes in anger with his eyes glowing and responds, “Fine! I promise myself I wouldn’t do this, but Angus, you leave me no choice!” Drago raises his head, opens his wings and breathes fire towards Angus until the prince blocks his fire with his shield. The two brothers begin to fight each other vigorously and violently. Angus fights his brother with his sword and shield while Drago fights him with his claws, teeth, tail, wings, and fire breath. The dragon shoots a fireball in front of him, causing the prince to ride on his horse and ride out of the cave while Drago pursue him on the way out.

The Prince runs towards Findel, grabs the jester and places him on Nessy’s back as the enraged Drago chases after him, flying with his wings flapping and shooting fireballs towards him.

“Whoah!” Findel exclaims, “What did you do to make him so angry?”

“He’s not angry! He’s just stubborn!” Prince Angus rides through the forest with Findel riding behind him and Drago begins to breathe a massive breath of fire that causes Nessy to ride even faster. The horse jumps up the top slope of the hill and continues to gallop down the hill while the dragon glides towards them. When Angus and Findel ride to the bottom, Drago shoots a fireball behind the horse, causing them to fall into the ground. Angus unsheathes his sword and continues to fight his brother while the dragon uses his massive teeth, claws, tail and his wings to fight him off.

The two siblings continue to fight each other as they fought closer and closer towards the cliff until Angus falls off the cliff and Drago dives towards him. The dragon catches him in his talons as he flies and spins all around the forest of Scotland.

“Hey! What are you doing?!” Yelled Angus, “Put me down, you flying serpent!”

“Serpent?!” Drago responds, as he glides towards the river streams in front of him, “As you wish, your highness.”

“No, no-no-no! I can’t swim!” Drago throws Angus towards the stream. “I CAN’T SWIIIM!!!” Angus falls directly into the river stream and the river drags him towards a rock until a log hits him on his shoulder and then he falls towards a humongous waterfall. Drago dives down towards Angus with his wings, catches him with his talon, and soars out of the waterfall as he glides through the river with his wings wide open.

Drago flaps his wings as he lands on the ground while he gently places Angus on the ground. The prince coughs the water out of his mouth. Drago stretches his neck towards him and said, “Are you alright, Angus?”

“Yeah, I’m fine.”

“I guess we got a little carried away, didn’t we?”

“Yeah, I suppose we did. But still, you should have seen how cool you were when you had to breathe fire!”

“Not as cool as you were with you swinging your own sword!”

“Right?” Angus and Drago laugh with each other until they both sighed.

Findel rides towards the two brothers and asked, “Is everybody okay? Is anyone hurt? Are you guys still fighting each other? Do I need to hide somewhere so I can suck my thumb?”

“No, no, we seem to be good now.”

“Well, in that case!” Findel jumps off of Nessy, “Who wants to see some TRUE entertainment!” Findel brings out four pies, juggles them with his arms, and throws them up in the sky and all four of the pies smashes into his face, causing the two brothers to laugh at him, hysterically. “Oh, and one other thing,” Findel reaches into Angus’ ear and pulls out a kings card, “Is THIS your card?”

“Wha…how did you do that?”

“Lets just say that I do a little…magic!” The jester releases confetti out of his pockets.

Angus looks over to Drago and said, “Look Drago, if you don’t want go back to the castle, you don’t have to. This whole point of me coming here is that I would spend some time with you. But, I understand if you don’t want to be with me anymore.” Angus depressingly walks away from Drago until the dragon stops him with the tip of his tail.

“No.” said Drago, “No, I would be honored for you to spend more time with me. I truly would.”

“Really?”

“Guarantee it!” Drago claps his talon into Angus’ hand and pulls him over, giving him a big loving hug.

“I miss you so much, Drago, you have no idea.”

“I miss you too, Angus.” Suddenly, they hear a faint sniffing sound and see Findle, smiling with tears in his eyes. “Hey Findel, are you okay?”

“Oh, don’t worry about me, boys! I just have some confetti in my eye.” The jester wipes off his tears, “And hey, how’s about I get you two something to eat?”

“Actually, me and Drago have a lot of catching up to do so...”

“Say no more, say no more! I’ll be back in the castle before you know it!”

“Oh, and when you get back, tell everyone I’m spending some time with my brother.”

“Can do! Come on, Nessy!” Findel slaps on Nessy’s rear end, causing the horse to rear up and whinny. Findle continues to loose control on the horse as she jumps up and down, kicks her hooves in the air and runs through the forest towards the castle with Findle on her back.

“So…who’s taking care of the castle?” Drago asked.

“Oh, don’t worry,” Angus answered, “I left Barnabus in charge so it should be okay.”

“Oh, alrighty. So, what do you want to do?”

“Well…”

The two brothers begin to bond with each other like never before. They played some games, outwitting some other mythical creatures and even started to work together to take down some giants and ogres by dropping some other boulders on his head.

On the mountain, Angus mounts on his back; the dragon walks to edge of the mountain, opens his wings and makes a loud thunderous roar.

Drago dives toward the bottom of the mountain and soars through the atmosphere. The dragon flies all around the Scottish valley and into the sky, gliding through the clouds.

Drago glides through the wide-open forest glade and soars over a herd of unicorns, running through the field. The flying creature continues to sway and surf through the atmosphere.

Then, he glides through a large and humongous lake where the mermaids rise and dive into the water like dolphins. The dragon soars over an enormous waterfall and flies to the surface. Drago begins to zoom through the wide open plain and spins himself around and around until he soars through the mountains.

After they raced each other to the top of a huge mountain, Drago sets up a campfire with his fire-breath.

“Wow! That was…totally awesome!!!” Angus exclaimed.

“I know!” Drago responds, “It really was the greatest I ever had. But I’m not sure if I want to stay a dragon for long.”

“Why is that?”

“My dragon urges are too powerful for me to control and it would cause me to kill anything in sight. But that would only happen when I get angry.”

“Well, what if you would use your dragon instincts for defense?”

“Defense?”

“Yeah. Like, if anything happens to me, you would use your dragon instincts to attack anyone who tries to attack me.”

“Using my dragon urges to defend, I think that’s a good idea.”

“Oh, and there’s one little favor I needed to ask of you.”

On a full moon night at an open field near the castle, Allina practices her sword fighting abilities on a wooden dummy, hanging on a tree. She swings her sword all around and constantly hits and stabs the dummy until Drago lands on the ground and flaps his wings behind him. Allina turns her head and gasps as he sees Angus walking towards her. The prince smiles and said, “Oh I didn’t know you do sword fighting.”

“Angus,” said Allina with disbelief “Is that?”

“Yup. This is my brother, Drago.”

“Greetings.” Drago responds with his wings opened.

“Does anyone else know that you guys are here?” Allina asked.

“Ah, don’t worry,” said Angus, “Its only gonna be quick. So…you wanna go for a ride?”

“On him? Doesn’t that seem a bit dangerous?”

“He’s not dangerous at all, Drago is my brother. He’s harmless, believe me.” Angus lends out his hand towards Allina.

“I’m not sure why but…okay, if you think so.” Allina walks with Angus towards Drago and mounts on the dragons back. Drago opens his large massive wings and takes off into the sky.

Barnabus walks towards the window of the castle with a raven in his hands and with a sinister look on his face. The old man raises the raven up to his mouth and whispers, “Follow them.” The raven’s eyes begin to glow yellow, the bird flies out of the window, and follows Drago to the sky.

The dragon soars through the clouds and stars, spinning through the air and glides all over the land of Scotland under the moonlight. Allina looks amazed and stunned with everything she sees. She leans her head onto Angus’ head with a loving smile.

“So…what do you think?” Asked Angus, “Pretty cool, huh?”

“Cool? More like, amazing!” Allina exclaimed, “This is so much better than working at the castle.” Drago lands on the top of the highest mountain in all of Scotland. Angus and Allina walks off the dragon’s back and sees the entire view of the land with the wind flowing through their hair. Allina leans on Angus’ shoulder. “I am never riding on a carriage or a horse again.”

“Hmm, glad to hear it. So, uh, let me ask you something, what made you want to learn sword fighting?”

“Years of practice, I guess. I just do it in case some maniac tries to attack me.”

“Well, I don’t see any maniacs here.”

Allina giggles softely, “You know Angus, I feel more comfortable with you than anyone else in the palace.”

“Really? I thought you would get along well with Barnabus.”

“Well, Barnabus is only my co-worker, and he does seem kind of creepy, but with you, I gotta be honest, I’ve never been more attracted to anyone in my life.”

“Well, that’s a lot to say for a royal ambassador.”

Allina touches his cheeks and looks at him romantically, “Maybe I don’t have to be an ambassador.” Allina wraps her arms around his neck as Angus wraps his arms around her shoulders. Angus and Allina later kiss each other in the lips and later kiss each other on the mouth.

Drago rolls his eyes with a smile and says, “Oh, brother.” The dragon looks to the other side with his large wings opening, looking out for bandits and intruders.

The raven lands on the tip of the tree branch and watches Angus and Allina kissing each other. Meanwhile back in the castle, Barnabus looks through the magical ball on his staff to see what the raven is looking at. The old man bangs his scepter and grunts in anger, “NO!!” Barnabus knocks away a large table with his staff and then sees a sketch of Prince Angus on the floor with Allina’s signature on it, which made Barnabus intensively angry. Then he turns over to the royal guards by the door. “When she comes back,” said Barnabus, “Bring her to me!”

At the front yard of the castle, Drago lands on the grassy ground as both Angus and Allina down the dragon’s massive body. “Thank you so much for everything, Angus,” Allina responds, “I really needed it!”

“Just reach out to us if you needed anything.” Said Angus as he gives her a kiss on the lips, said their good byes, and leaves feeling content. While Allina walks towards the castle, the two brothers look over into a secret cave in front of them. “What do you think is in there?”

“I don’t know.” Said Drago. Angus brings out an unlit torch and tries to light a fire with two rocks. “I’d…um.” The prince continues to scrape the rocks. “I really can.” As Angus continues to scrape the two rocks, Drago lights the torch by shooting fire out of his nostril, which startles Angus as he takes a couple steps back from the fire. “Oh, sorry Angus. I hope you like it well done.”

“No-no-no, it’s fine, it’s just what I needed. Thank you.” Angus picks up the lit torch and enters inside the cave while Drago walks alongside him. “Lets go find what it is.”

At the front yard of the castle, the captain of the guards walks towards the front doors and said, “Ambassador Allina. Chancellor Barnabus demands to see you, at once.”

“Is something wrong?”

“He needs to see you, immediately.”

The captain escorts her up the stairs of the castle to a large thrown room where Barnabus stands in front of the fireplace, starring at the fire while Allina walks into the room calmly and quietly. The captain closes the door behind her and Allina begins to sit on a sofa-like chair. Barnabus begins to speak, “So…did you have fun?”

“Well yes…I did, why you ask?”

“I just wanted to know before I jump into conclusions.”

“About…”

“About the fact that I that I saw…this sketch of yours.” Barnabus brings out a sketch of the prince, which made Allina very nervous and petrified. The old man turns around towards Allina, “It looks beautiful. It looks very much like…Prince Angus himself. I know…You Kissed him, on the MOUTH!!!!!!!!” Barnabus bangs his fist on the table, scaring and startling Allina as she falls over her chair as the old man marches towards her, “AND JUST WHEN YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE MINE AND MINE ALONE!”

“I never loved you Barnabus!”

“WHAT?!!”

Allina rises off the floor and stands assertively towards the chancellor, “I never felt any attraction towards you! At all! Whatsoever! I belong with Angus! I’d love to be with him! Not you! I never wanted to marry you! AND I NEVER WILL!”

An enraged Barnabus bangs the bottom part of his staff as he reveals his magic and sorcery with a giant storm cloud and smoke hovering from the top part of the staff and swirling the entire room with the lightning bolts appearing from the dark clouds. The wind blows all around the room and Allina looks horrified at what she sees. She stares at the monstrous storm-like smoke and said, “Sorcery?”

Barnabus walks through the black smoke as he reveals to be all mighty powerful sorcerer. He responds with a sinister tone of voice, “The worst kind of sorcery.” The sorcerer walks towards her as she steps into a wall behind her back. Barnabus brings out a dagger and stabs the wall right next to her face. “One that can kill you.”

“I swear on my mother’s grave and on my father’s illness, I won’t tell anyone. I swear!”

“Oh I know you won’t.” The Sorcerer releases the dagger from the wall and Allina exhales with her eyes closed until Barnabus grabs her by the arm and drags her furiously down the steps of the castle and towards the out door basement at an old windmill. Barnabus throws her into the basement and into the floor. Allina looks up at him and Barnabus responds with anger, “GET OUT OF THIS, IF YOU CAN!” The sorcerer throws some magic dust onto the ground and turned into a Dragon silhouette made out of flames.

The flaming creature chases her to the other side of the basement where she pushes the door with a pillar. And finally, she immediately escapes and closed the two doors. The flaming dragon bursts through the doors and starts to attack until Allina takes a large bucket of water and throws it towards the creature, making it disappear.

The Jester, Findel arrives towards Allina on Angus’s pet horse, Nessy. Findel looks surprised and responds, “What in the crazy zany-ously floopin hell was that?!”

“I don’t know, but that must be one of…Zany-ously floopin?”

“Yeah, I know, I have a bad habit of coming up with stupid words.”

“I’ll say.” Allina sighs, “Anyways we’ve got warn Angus and Drago about Barnabus, now!”

“Why?”

“Barnabus is an evil sorcerer and he’s angry that I fell in love with Angus instead of him! He’s plotting something and whatever it is, it must be bad! We have to have find them, now!”

“I guess I’ll let you take the front seat, then.” Allina mounts on Nessy, whips her bridle, and rides away from the windmill and into the forest.

Meanwhile back in the deep, dark cave, the two brothers discovered some abandon tapestries about how a man can change into a dragon and how to change him back.

“This must be about the dragon legends.” Said Drago.

“And there’s a lot of details here, too.” Angus continued, “It says here that if a dragon’s index claw glows and scraps a person with it, then that person would become a dragon only when his/her scar glows. From ages 1 to 12, a person would only transform into a dragon at night. But from ages 13-25, the person would transform into a dragon day and night uncontrollably. And at age 25 when a person transforms into a dragon at the final time, he/she would remain a dragon permanently. But the only way that would break the curse is to wear two rings.”

“The two rings that would make me human. Permanently!”

“If we could actually find the rings in this cave-

“I bet they can revert me back into my human form!”

“Well what are we waiting for, lets find them!”

So the two royal brothers set out to find the two rings hidden inside the cave.

As they walked through a sewage-like river and reached to the shallow part of it, Drago sets another campfire with his nose.

Angus begins to speak while he sits by the fire, “So, when was the first time you were transformed?”

“Well…that was a time ago. I was a tiny little toddler then. I was in my mother’s arms while she rides on her horse in the snow. Then one day, a giant red dragon flew in and chases my mother through the snow. He killed mom and then dad, then he gave me this scar across my eye, and that’s when I knew I would transform into…this! Every year. I don’t remember who that dragon was, but I did remember that he was as colossal as the castle itself and was the largest and scariest looking red dragon I ever saw. He must have flown away after that.”

“Wow. That must be a lot to take in.”

“And hey, how’s about I find us some rations before we find the rings. If we’re lucky I might even fry us some rats.”

“That sounds good.”

“Alrighty, I’ll be right back.” Drago sets out to find something to eat in the cave, while Angus sits by the campfire.

Suddenly, Angus heard someone walking through the river. The prince stood up and drew his sward until he realized it was his royal advisor, Barnabus who walked straight toward him.

“Advisor Barnabus,” said Angus as he puts his sword back to his sheathes, “What can I do you for?”

“Your majesty,” Barnabus proclaimed, “Your brother has left the kingdom in ruins by the use of his fireballs. And also, his dragon instincts are getting stronger and stronger which would cause him to be savagely violent and beastly.”

“What?! No! That’s not true! The-the tapestries says that only the two rings can-

“It would be far too impossible to find the two rings at any location, especially in this cave. Listen, if your brother remains a dragon permanently, it’s only a matter of time until he goes back to his primitive savage ways and will kill everyone and everything! Especially you! He will no longer see you as a brother; he will just see you as his food! Another victim even! He will never be the brother you once knew!”

“You don’t know if that will happen. Drago is still my brother! Dragon or no dragon.”

“And if he attacks you…” Angus starts to feel upset with his eyes watering, takes two steps back from Barnabus, and sits on a rock, while looking devastated. “I know its tough. But even kings would have to make the tough choices, don’t they? His dragon instincts will kick in and he will become a bloodthirsty monster. And lord knows I couldn’t do it. But…” Barnabus brings out a crossbow and an arrow and gives them to Angus. “All I ask is to do your kingdom a favor, not just for me, but for everyone, your family, Allina, and most of all, for yourself. You do this and we will make you our king! Our hero! Our savior! So I am counting on you to do the deed and save us all.” Angus nods his head ‘yes’ with tears pouring out of his eyelids, “Very good. Now I’ll give you two some, time alone.”

Barnabus leaves without saying a word and departs from Angus. So Angus sets out to find his brother with a crossbow in his hand, but then starts to feel upset with tears in his eyes.

He finds Drago below the slope in a room filled with lit torches on the left and right side of the walls.

“Hey Angus!” Drago exclaimed as he walks towards the slope on his four legs. “You’ll never guess what I…” The Dragon suddenly noticed him with tears in his eyes while pointing his crossbow towards him. “What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like that? What are you doing with that crossbow?”

“I’m sorry.” Angus begins to cry. “I’m just so sorry!”

“What?! You mean…”

“I have to! I have no choice!”

“No! NO! Who told you something like this? Whose idea was this?!”

“The royal advisor!”

“Barnabus Slade?!” Drago growls with his teeth showing, “That’s impossible!”

“He said they’ll make me king if I do this!”

“What good is being king if your gonna shoot your own brother with an arrow?!”

“He said you will become savage and violent if you stay a dragon forever!”

“That only happens when I become angry! I told you that!”

“I don’t wanna do this!”

“You don’t have to! Your not supposed to! Stop listening to every stupid thing they said! You don’t have to be a king! You could just start a new life in exile with me! Don’t you want that?”

“I do! I really do! I just…” Angus begins to sob while he points his crossbow.

“DON’T DO IT, ANGUS! IT’S NOT WORTH IT! PLEASE! I’M BEGGING YOU! PLEADING YOU! YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO THIS! ANGUUUSS!!”

So then the arrow shoots right out the crossbow. And instead of Drago, the arrow hits right toward a werewolf that was right behind him.

In sadness, the Prince drops the crossbow, kneels down on his one knee, and sobs silently with his hand on his face. Angus said with a crying voice, “I’m sorry, Drago! I’m just so sorry!”

Drago comes up to him, puts his talon on his shoulder and responds, “I know you didn’t mean to do it. You were manipulated, used, and taken advantage of. And that’s no place for us. You will always been forgiven, Angus. You’re my brother. And brothers always stick together. No matter what.”

Afterwards, the two siblings hugged each other, lovingly. “I love you so much, Drago!”

“I love you too, Angus.”

“I just hope that nothing will ever separate us again.”

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Barnabus said out loud, “You almost killed the king!”

The two brothers look up to the top slope and see Barnabus on his black horse while the guards come to arrest the siblings. Angus mounts on his back and Drago flies through the room until one of the guards grabs the dragon by the leg with their chains and pulls him towards the guards.

The knights put Drago in chains and having two guards holding Angus’s wrists. The Prince shouted, “What is the meaning of this?”

Barnabus walks towards Angus and said with a sinister grin, “Prince Angus of Scotland! You are by far the most gullible and the most idiotic individuals I have ever met! You actually thought I was gonna make you king, after what you’ve done to your poor sweet brother?”

“What?! But you said that I-

“I said nothing of the sort! That was your intention, not mine!”

“Angus?” Drago asked, “Is this true?!”

“NO!” The prince answered, “NO! I would never kill anyone in my life! I would never kill Drago! He is the only family I ever had left!”

“Apparently,” The sorcerer remarks, “Your actions say otherwise.”

“Wha…guards! Seize him! Don’t just stand there! Seize him!” Angus looks around and sees all the guards pointing their weapons towards the prince as well as being under Barnabus’ spell. “Guards? Why isn’t anybody doing anything? Guards?” Prince Angus opens his eyes in realization, “Ooohhh, such an idiot! I left you in charge of the entire castle and now-

“They’re all under my control.” Barnabus shows him the glowing ball on his staff.

“You’re a sorcerer!”

“Yeah, I wish I could have told you sooner but…now you know. I just had to make sure I wouldn’t get my hands dirty.” Barnabus stands aside as one the guards, brings over Allina and Findle in handcuffs while sitting on Nessy.

“Well,” said Findel, “Looks like the jokes on us! Literally.”

“Barnabus,” Angus exclaimed, “Why are you doing this?”

The sorcerer laughs and answered, “Angus,” Barnabus leans over to his ear and whispered, “Why else do you think I killed your parents for?”

Angus becomes angry, “You son of a…” Barnabus points his dagger towards his throat with his head raised up.

“Finish that sentence, and this dagger will go to your throat.”

“So your gonna put me in the dungeon?”

“No, not the dungeon…to the stakes!”

“WHAT?! No! Not the stakes! I didn’t do anything! You won’t get away with this!” The guards carry Angus away from Barnabus. The other guards carry Allina, Findle, and Nessy away as well.

Drago tries to free himself from the chains and struggles to spread his wings as Barnabus turns towards him with a smirk. The dragon growls, “BARNABUS…SO HELP ME…. I’LL SEE YOU BURNING IN HELL YET!”

“YOU FOOL!” Barnabus remarked, “Do you really think anyone is going to believe a giant hideous monster like you?!”

“What are you talking about?”

“I know your going to expose me, Drago, but you wont! No one is going to listen to you! No one will ever support you! Besides, all of this has happened because of what you are and what you have grown to be! A monster! A demon! A threat to all mankind! Your existence as a dragon is the reason why your brother is going to die in the first place! You are the ultimate cause of everyone’s doom!” Drago opens his eyes in both shock and devastation. He looks down towards his reflection in a pond and begins to look sad and devastated with tears in his eyes.

“What shall we do with the dragon, sir?” asked the guard.

“Take him up to the tower of the castle. And make sure he stays there.” The guards on their horses carry Drago in chains towards the upper slope with the dragon’s head looking down in depression.

Meanwhile at the front yard of the castle at dawn, Angus is tied to a wooden stake with some firewood around him.

Barnabus opens his scroll and proclaims to the crowd, “Prince Angus of Scotland is found guilty for the crime of attempted murder on his older brother! The sentence…death!” The executioner gives Barnabus the torch.

“Look Barnabus,” said Angus, “I’ll give you anything you want, money, riches, fame, women…men-

“I wanted all of that and more. But that’s just not enough for me. I’ve been serving you and your family for far too long! Long enough so that I would take the thrown! Leaving the both of you…in the dust!”

“No! No-you can’t-

Banabus turns to the crowd and continues, “This prince is also the same fugitive who turned his brother into a fire-breathing dragon!”

“What?! That’s not true!”

“Do not believe in any word this young man has said! This evil warlock has put the soul of every citizen in Scotland in awful jeopardy!”

And in the tower of the castle, Drago was completely chained to the wall with Flindle inside with him. The jester tries to break the chains with his mallet and said, “Come on, Drago! Snap out of it! Your brother is down there!”

“All of this has happened because of me.” Drago laments.

“You can’t blame yourself for everything!”

“Why not! I’m a dragon! And dragons always get into trouble!”

“Just because you’re a dragon, doesn’t mean your gonna let Barnabus win!”

“Its too late! What chance would I have against Barnabus? I can’t go down there! I can’t come to my brother’s rescue! And any second I do something, I’m always going to make things worse!”

“Well, Drago-

“Just…leave me at peace. Please.”

Findle sighs, “I’ll just leave you with this…don’t make the same mistake I did. Don’t listen to anyone who tries to talk you down. For once, think for yourself.”

Barnabus continues talking in the distance, “For justice, for Scotland, and for his own salvation…” Drago looks up with an angry expression on his face with his eyes glowing as the dragon looks down through the window. “It is my sacred duty to send this unholy demon, back to his fiery grave!” Barnabus sets the wood on fire almost killing Angus. “And when I mean fiery grave, I mean, FIERY GRAVE!!!” The sorcerer begins to laugh maniacally and sinisterly.

The Prince shouted his name, “DRAGO!!!!”

The dragon roared furiously with his mouth opened as he tried to break through the chains. As he swoops down and rescues Angus, Allina rides towards Drago on Nessy and immediately climbs on Drago for safety while the flying reptile carries the horse with his talons as he puts on Angus on the horse’s back. Then Drago flies away and Findle leaps towards his tail and gets carried up into the sky to the top of a mountain with Angus in his talons.

“Sir!” Said the captain, “The fugitives are getting away!”

“They won’t get far!” Barnabus turns his head to the captain of the guard, “Captain, my armor!” The sorcerer lends out his hand.

Drago continues to fly up to the mountain and replied, “Angus, are you okay?”

“I think I’m okay.” Angus answered.

“Oh thank god!” Allina added.

As they finally reached to the mountaintop, Barnabus and his men on their horses arrives towards the wide-open grassy plains of Scotland. Barnabus exclaims to the crowd, “Gentlemen! Prepare yourselves for the worst! The kingdom’s most valiant and noble king is now turned into a beast! A beast that is among us! Terrorizing our people! Ransacking our city! And now he has left all of Scotland in chaos and ruin!” Barnabus draws his sword while he rides on his horse, “WILL WE ALLOW IT!”

The guards respond in unison while raising their swords up high, “NOOO!!!”

Barnabus points his sword towards the dragon on the mountain and begins to charge while the royal guards follow him towards the wide-open field on their horses.

Drago puts his foot on the edge of the mountain, opens his wings and roared so loud that it attracted the all other mythical creatures burst through the forest to charge towards the guards. As the creatures charge closer and closer, Barnabus uses his scepter to draw a fire line in front of them.

The Guards are now shocked by what they see. The captain of the guards exclaimed, “SORCERERY!” the captain drew his sword and points it against Barnabus until the sorcerer uses his scepter to strike his sword with a lightning bolt.

Barnabus exclaims to the guards while he points his scepter, “I can make your life a dream come true or I can make your life a living hell! Don’t forget, I have the power! I have a greater weapon than any knight or guard would possess! Now unless you want me to send you all back to the dark ages, you will do exactly as I say!”

“What are your demands?” The captain asked.

Barnabus uses a powerful wind gust from his scepter to make the fire line disappear. “Send every last mythical creature back to hell from which they came!”

“Yes Sir!”

The guards raise their swords and charges towards the mythical creatures and fight them to the death.

Meanwhile back on the mountain, Angus, Drago, Allina, Findle, and Nessy looks down towards the bottom of the mountain.

“You know from up here, they all look like ants!” said Findle, “Violent vicious fighting ants.”

Yet, suddenly Barnabus strikes a lightning bolt out of his scepter that stretches up to a hundred feet high, only to destroy the two brothers.

Drago cried, “LOOK OUT!”

And before the bolt strikes the mountain, Angus and Allina climbed on Drago as the Dragon carries Nessy with Findel riding on her.

As the giant dragon flies up to a higher mountain, Barnabus shoots another lightning bolt at Drago and fell from the sky. The sorcerer then pounds the bottom part of his staff, which causes the ground to split apart into a deep chasm. As soon Drago falls into the chasm, the dragon flies up to the surface and on top of a higher mountain.

Furious and full of rage, Barnabus uses his sorcery to bring himself to the top of the mountain where Drago, Angus, Allina, and Findel are. Allina draws her dagger to fight off Barnabus and the sorcerer fights her off with his staff.

Afterwards, Findel distracts Barnabus by teasing him with his hands on his ear, spitting at him and saying, “Na-na-na-na, you can’t catch me!” The sorcerer tries to strike him with his scepter but he moves too fast until he knocks the jester over with his scepter.

Angus looks over to the jester and said, “Findel, take Allina back to the castle!”

“Ookie Dook, come on Allina.” Findel takes Allina by the arm and the two of them rides away on Nessy.

The prince steps in with his sword and fights him off with full force. During the battle, Angus grabs his scepter and breaks it in half.

Barnabus suddenly smiled sinisterly and smirked, “Do you ever think I need a staff to do magic?” Barnabus uses his lightning powers out of his hands while Angus continues to fight him with his sword. After the two enemies fought each other, Barnabus uses a powerful wind gust to push Angus off the mountain.

Drago tried to reach out to save his brother and screamed, “ANGUS!” Barnabus pulls him back into the top peak of the mountain. The dragon and sorcerer fights each other with their magical abilities. “The sooner I can beat you is the sooner I will find the two rings that would make me human!”

Barnabus takes off his gloves and smirked, “Oh, you mean…these!” The sorcerer reveals that he has the two rings that would make him into a human.

“What?! So, you had the two rings the whole time?!”

“And that’s not all!”

As soon as Barnabus takes off the two rings, he transforms into a 16-foot tall red dragon with a wingspan of 66 feet wide. The red dragon roars at Drago with his massive teeth showing and his wings wide opened. Drago is now horrified at the fact that his dragon form refreshes his memory. Drago responds in disbelief, “No! That’s not possible!”

“Remember me, Drago?! The one who killed his parents and the one who made you into what you are now!”

“What?!”

“That’s right boy, I’m the one who gave that scar and made you into a monster!”

“So you’re the cause of all this! You’re the one who did this to me!”

“Precisely! And now I got that out of the way, time for me to finish what I’ve started.”

As the two dragons fought each other on the mountain, Angus lands safely on a bush. The guards charges at him until a giant walks towards him and says, “HEY!”

“Whoah,” Prince Angus responds.

“USE THIS!” The giant lends him a club.

“Thank you!” The prince grabs the club and knocks the guards over. The prince runs into the forest so he can climb up and save Drago. The guards chase him into the woods until the prince tips over and sees a dragon skeleton with the magic index claw. As the guards came closer and closer to where Angus is, the prince swipes his hand with the index claw and begins to transform into a 14-foot tall Orange Dragon with a 64-foot wingspan.

Meanwhile on the top of the mountain, Barnabus and Drago continue to fight teeth, nail, and fire until Barnabus pushes him to edge of the mountain. The red dragon raises his claws until Angus, in his dragon form, shoots a fireball his left side.

“You just…save my life.” Drago responds in disbelief.

“Hey, I’m your brother, its what I do.”

“Wha-…Angus! Is that you?! But how?!” Angus shows Drago his scar on his hand and a glowing claw from a dragon skeleton. “Oh no, Angus, What have you done!”

“Hey, we’re brothers! And brothers always stick together. No matter what!” Angus and Drago nudge each other in the muzzle.

Barnabus rises from the ground, stands on his four legs with his giant wings opened and remarked, “Well, isn’t this precious! A prince willing to sacrifice his true form to save his brother!” Barnabus laughs sinisterly as he walks around them on his four legs, “How convenient and yet so utterly pathetic!”

Drago steps towards Barnabus on his four legs until Angus steps in front of him and responds, “No! Let me do it this time! I can take him!”

“Be careful,” Drago responds as he nudges his muzzle towards Angus for good luck.

Angus leaps towards Barnabus and the red dragon swipes him with his claws. Barnabus zooms towards Angus and the orange dragon swipes him away with his tail. The two dragons fights each other on both land and sky until the first ring lands into Angus’ finger, which causing him to transform into a human.

Barnabus puts his giant hand on Angus’ chest. Barnabus makes his evil diabolical laugh and growls, “Give it up, boy! You can’t protect your brother nor would you protect your kingdom! You’ll just be as powerless as, your mother and father before you! Prepare to join them! Prepare to die!” Barnabus lunges his head to the prince and is about to bite his head off but Drago pushes him off of Angus.

“Mind if I cut in?” Drago remarked.

The two dragons kept scratching, biting, and breathing fire at each other. Drago and Barnabus stands on their two legs bites each other on their necks and shoulder as well as pushing each other away with their wings, tails, and fire-breath. Barnabus leaps towards Drago on his back, attack him with his teeth and claws and Drago pushes him off his chest with his feet.

Barnabus bites the top part of his neck until Drago knocks him off with his tail. The two dragons fights each other with powerful force and aggression using their fire-breath, wings, claws, and tails until the Drago grabs Barnabus by the neck and pushed up to a tree. As the dragon unsheathes his claws, Allina and Findel came up to the mountain and help Angus up on his feet.

Barnabus responds while he’s choking, “Wait! I surrender!”

“What?”

“Victory is yours. All yours! I am ever so sorry for my deceiving behavior! And for killing everyone you care about. Especially Angus!”

“How do I know that this is not some trick?”

“This is not a trick! This is honest to God’s truth! Please, I don’t want to fight anymore! And I promise that I will never hurt you or anyone ever again!”

Drago hesitated for a few seconds and then puts him down, “Okay, I’ll let you go.”

“You have been a very noble friend, Drago, and a true king at heart. And if it were I…” Barnabus unsheathes his claws and chokes Drago on his neck. The red dragon makes a sinister smile on his face, “I would have killed you years ago! As I was saying, I never liked you Drago! And I here by sentenced you…to hell!” Barnabus holds Drago’s neck and walks to the edge of the mountain, attempting to drop him down the chasm. “Pitty, I so would have preferred to see you burned!”

Suddenly, Angus stabs his tail with his sword and fights off the red dragon. Findel fights off Barnabus with his scepter and Allina comes in and fights him off with her sword as well.

Drago knocks him over with his tail until the edge of the mountain breaks off, with Drago holding on to the edge of the mountain.

Barnabus grabs on to Drago’s tail as he slowly slips away from the edge. Angus grabs his brother’s head with his rope while Allina and Findel grabs the rope behind him.

Once the dragon was pulled up to the surface of the mountain, Barnabus bites the top part of his neck with his fangs and Drago pushes with him away with his elbow. Finally, Barnabus falls to his death through the chasm and was burnt alive.

Wounded and close to death, Drago reaches the top part of the mountain. Findel brings the prince the second ring that would make him human permanently. As Drago collapses on the ground of the mountain, the prince puts the ring through his brother’s finger but it didn’t work. The prince collapses on his knees, with his eyes watering and exclaimed, “What?! No! I don’t understand!”

“Angus,” said Drago in his dying breath.

“We came all this way and yet-

“Angus!”

“What?”

Drago speaks at his final breath, “You are the best human brother a dragon would ever have.”

Angus’ tears falls out of his eyes and he sniffs, “And you’re the best dragon brother a human would ever have.” Drago closes his eyes without even breathing. “Drago.” Angus puts a crown on his head and hugs him with tears rolling down his eyes. Allina and Findle touch his shoulder with tears in their eyes.

The prince’s tear drops on the ring, which starts to light up, causing Drago to transform back into a human. Drago opens his eyes and whispered, “Angus.”

The prince gasped with a smile and whispered with amazement, “Drago!”

“Did I ever tell you I like myself better as a human than a dragon?”

The two brothers hugged each other with tears rolling down their eyes. Allina and Findle smile with relief. The guards came up to the mountain and the captain steps towards the two siblings and said, “Your majesty, on behave of the entire royal guard, we would like to apologize for what we’ve done. We’ve acted very badly.”

Drago steps right towards the guards and proclaim, “As king, I forgive you under the condition that you will clean up the kingdom, at once! There’s going to be a lot of changes around here.”

“Yes sir!” The captain turns towards the guards, “Alrighty men, lets get back to the castle.” The guards escorts Drago, Angus, Allina, and Findle down towards the bottom of the mountain and towards the city.

An hour later, Angus, Drago, Allina, and Findel walk towards the town on their horses and the entire kingdom rejoices Drago and Angus’ arrival. The two brothers wave their hands as they ride through the crowd.

At the balcony of the castle, Drago proclaims, “People of Scotland, I have returned as your king once more! I am from now free Barnabus’ evil treachery from turning me into a dragon! He was the real treacherous sorcerer who turned me into fire-breathing beast! But now that he is slayed and defeated, we are all safe from harm and we shall all move forward into the future!” The citizens of Scotland cheer and rejoice.

Behind the balcony where Drago is, Angus looks at Allina in the eye and said, “Hey, um, listen, we’ve been through a lot together and…” The prince gets on his knees, “I just wanted to know-

“Yes!”

“What?”

“My answer is yes! I will marry you!”

“Well, that was quick.” Allina grabs Angus up to her face and kisses him in the mouth and the prince kisses her back.

A day later, Prince Angus and Allina in her wedding gown kisses each other in the thrown room and everyone inside the castle, cheers for their union.

As soon as the couple walks through the hallway of the castle, they walks down the steps while holding each other’s hands. The villagers and the royal subjects of the kingdom, including Findle, throw flowers and confetti towards the couple. King Drago walks along with them.

“Don’t you think we need a carriage?” Asked Allina.

“Carriage?” Angus responds, “Where we’re going we don’t need a carriage.”

“Angus?” Drago asked.

“How about it, Drago? Just this once.”

Drago looks directly at the crowd and the villagers stare at him with a smile. “Do I really have to?”

“Go on, it’ll be okay, me and Allina’s got your back!”

Drago inhales and exhales and almost slides the ring off his finger. The king exclaims to the crowd, “Are you ready!”

The crowd reacts with excitement, anticipating his dragon form. As soon as Drago takes off his ring, he transforms back into a dragon. The crowd reacts with awe and amazement, seeing his dragon transformation in person. Drago bends over, opens his wings and gives both Angus and Allina a lift on his back. Angus smiles at Drago and says, “I like you best in both ways!”

“Whether I’m a dragon or a human, I’ll always be your brother!” Drago spreads his giant massive wings and takes off into the sky. The dragon glides through the village, soars through the forests and plains and flies off to the sunset.
