A Racoon ate my Artwork
On January 3, 2026 I painted an image of a Little Boy and in the background was his pet Kitten, and Butterflies.

On Jan,10 I submitted this artwork via E Mail to a poetry and art online Magazine. I got a response from them. They could not use this in the Magazine but inquired if I would send the the original to display at their Office.
I was head over heels delighted.

But now the came the disaster. I stored the Artwork, Watercolor on Heavy paper in the Garage. That evening I took out the trash but forgot to close the Garage door.

In the middle of the night I heard noises. I was terrified that someone was prowling around our House. I grabbed my Husbands heavy flashlight in case I needed it for a weapon.

I realized the noise was coming from the Garage. I cautiously entered the Garage. I flipped the Light Switch.

What did I see? A Racoon feasting on my Artwork. I screamed out of Fright. The Racoon hissed and threw my Artwork at Me. Then she made her escape.

I didn't know whether to laugh or Cry. Was the Racoon an Art Critic, or was She saying my Art was delicious. I suspect She was going to use the Paper shreds for a nest.

What an adventure!

Lol. I'm sorry for your artwork but the strangest things can happen like this. Once, my dog ate my whole third period classroom's Spanish homework. I had to give everyone an A. They were happy about it. I was glad I didn't have to grade it. Sometimes it all works out. Glad you can laugh about it now! Fun story

What a wild and unexpected turn of events! It sounds like the raccoon had a very unconventional opinion about your artwork.
