THE HAS DAY BROKEN
Adult, M, from Monrovia, Liberia
In the town of Tianbli, there lived a woman whose life was marked by silent tears and whispered cruelty. She struggled with infertility, and for years, men came into her life only to leave when they realized she could not conceive.
The townspeople were merciless.
Some said she had sold her womb.
Others claimed her suffering was punishment for sins no one could name.
Whenever she argued with anyone or crossed paths with bitter tongues, they hurled their insults without mercy:
“Who are you? A woman with no child, no husband! Get out of my sight with that diseased womb!”
Each word cut deeper than the last. She would walk away, tears burning her cheeks, her heart heavy with shame and loneliness. Yet, even in her pain, she refused to let go of hope.
Every night, she knelt beside her bed. Tears soaked the floor as she lifted her trembling hands toward heaven.
“God, please open my womb. Give me a child to love… a child to call my own.”
She poured out her soul in prayer, and though the answers seemed delayed, she always rose with a quiet peace—brief, but comforting.
One afternoon, as she walked along the dusty road, she noticed a man sitting helplessly by the roadside. His clothes were worn, his eyes hollow with hunger.
“Please help me,” he begged softly. “I’m starving. I need food… and a place to stay.”
Moved by compassion, she took him into her home. She fed him, gave him shelter, and cared for him daily without expecting anything in return.
Soon, the town buzzed with rumors.
“I think she’s found herself a new husband,” some whispered.
“But why would a man stay with a woman who can’t bear children?” others mocked.
They did not know what heaven already had planned.
They did not know that God had sent her a blessing in disguise.
Three months later, the man asked for her hand in marriage. They wed quietly, without celebration or approval from the town. And then—what seemed impossible happened.
She became pregnant.
Not long after, she gave birth again… and again… until their home was filled with the laughter of five beautiful children. The woman once called barren now overflowed with joy.
Then came the greatest surprise of all.
Her husband revealed the truth—he was not a beggar, but a wealthy businessman, owner of companies across the world. He had been traveling in disguise, testing the hearts of people, searching for genuine kindness.
Because of her compassion, he bought the entire town, rescued her family from poverty, and moved them into a grand mansion where love, peace, and honor surrounded them.
One quiet morning, as she stood by the window of her new home, watching her children play, she whispered with tears of gratitude:
“This is the day I have been waiting for…
Finally—THE DAY HAS BROKEN.”
