The Unknown Warrior
Born 2007, F, from Ohio, United States
A lone warrior rode into the village. The knights and inhabitants of the village all stood on edge. This warrior was known as the unknown warrior. Mostly because no one knew who he was or anything about him. Whether he was friend or foe was also unknown. The black horse the figure rode on was just as intimidating. It had a black main, and black muscular body, and red beady eyes. The Rider wore all black, a hood and mask so all you could see were his piercing blue eyes, black riding boots, bow and quiver, a black sheathed curved sword, and black cape. The figure looked at the head knight and spoke in a low voice.
“Hello,Sir Kal”.
“Hello, what brings you here?” The figure dismounted then pulled out a slip of paper. It had a picture on it and lettering under it.
“One of my bounties, have you seen him before?” The head knight shook his head and the rider turned and left without another word. As the archer rode he looked around and sighed. He dismounted and made camp. His horse Shade ate grass but stayed nearby. This bounty was unlike any of the others the archer had encountered. This one was responsible for the death of his sister. The only source of light and joy in the archer’s life. After her death the archer searched the kingdom tirelessly for the person responsible and any clue on them. It wasn’t until recently that he found the identity of the man. He drifted off to sleep and made a silent vow that he would make this man pay. As he was sleeping he suddenly heard Shade whinnie loudly. He was up in an instant and made his way towards the horse. There beside it was a man with a dagger in hand. It was the man the archer had been searching for. A long bloody gash was across Shade’s body and shoulder. In an instant the archer had an arrow ready to shoot.
“Back away from the horse or I’ll shoot.” The archer said in a low tone.
“We both know you are going to shoot me either way.” The figure replied. Then he did something unexpected. Faster than lightning he mounted the horse and took off. The horse seemed to neigh in protest, but there was little it could. It tried to throw him off but his grip on the reins and saddle was too strong. The warrior watched in stunned disbelief. Then he clutched his fist and punched the nearest tree in anger. He packed up camp and followed the path to the nearest town. Once he got there he looked around for any sign of the figure or Shade, but there was neither. He kept this up until finally he got to a village and heard yelling.
“For the last time, I ain’t gonna take it! It’s the unknown warriors’ and I ain’t risking my life for you to make a quick buck.” The warrior walked towards the voices and drew his sword. Everyone in the town that was in his path quickly went inside or got as far from him as possible. When he reached the two figures they were still arguing.
“It’s not his I can assure you, it just looks a lot like his.” The one with Shade said assuringly. The other figure was about to respond then his eyes got as wide as dishes and he quickly ran inside his shop, closed the door, and switched the sign to say closed.
“I believe you have something of mine.” Shade whinnied at the sound of his master’s voice and broke free of the man’s grasp trotting over to the warrior. The horse’s wound looked better and the warrior stroked its muzzle softly. The warrior then pointed his sword at the man.
“You are going to regret making me mad.” He said in a low voice. The man held up his hands and took a step back. The warrior was fast and before the man had time to flee he quickly ran him through. Finally after all this time he got his revenge. He rode on Shade to the person who had given him the bounty. He then handed him the body and received the reward. His greater reward was justice for his sister though.
