JEDI MASTER IN EXILE

Over twenty years had passed since the downfall of the Jedi Order and the formation of the Empire.

In those years, Master Yoda had been living in exile, on the shrouded swamp world Dagobah. A world of peace was Dagobah, safe from the Empire and the Sith.

Even with their combined power, Darth Vader and Darth Sidious never sensed Yoda’s presence on Dagobah.

However, Yoda was at times very troubled – troubled because of disturbing Force visions.

In his visions, he saw worlds suffering at the hands of the Empire, Princess Leia being tortured, the death of Obi-Wan by the sword of Vader, the destruction of Alderaan.

To add to it, he was haunted by visions of thousands of Jedi being executed by clone troopers and the memory of the battle between himself and Darth Sidious in the Senate Arena on Coruscant.

Yes, Yoda did have many troubling moments, yet he had happy ones too. He had memories of the Jedi Order, the Jedi temple, the Republic and other Jedi, like Mace Windu, Qui-Gon Jinn and Anakin’s Padawan Ahsoka.

Though he had been visited on Dagobah, by the spirits of Mace Windu, Qui-Gon Jinn and every other ceased Jedi.

Presently, he was sitting by a swamp, dwelling on Luke Skywalker, who he would have to fully train in the ways of the Jedi. With Obi-Wan gone, it was down to him to complete Luke’s training.

Suddenly, Obi-Wan’s spirit materialized beside Yoda.

“Greetings, Obi-Wan.”

“Greetings, Master Yoda.”

“Come the time has, for the completion of Luke Skywalker’s training.”

“Yes, the time has come.”

“Face have to he will, the truth about his father.”

“He is not ready yet to bear that burden. Too much fear, anger and hatred, he has in him.”

“Yes, too much. Reckless is he.”

“Only when fully trained, will he be ready to face the truth. If he tries to confront Vader now, the Darkside will consume him.”

“Yes! Consume him it will.”

“Luke must be trained without delay. The fate of the galaxy rests on his shoulders.”

“Then go you must, to the Hoth System. Tell Luke, that to Dagobah, he is to come.”

“Till next time then.”

“Till next time.”

With that, Obi-Wan vanished, leaving Yoda to await the arrival of Luke Skywalker.
