A SCARY COINCIDENCE
A Scary Coincidence WRITTEN BY- CLIANDRA ANTONY

Twitching street lamps and a foggy evening is when Emma slammed the door and said “Sophie! I can’t believe it we won a lottery at the mall!” “WHAT!” Sophie exclaimed, while Emma on the other hand wasted no time packed her clothes, grabbed Sophie and dashed to the computer and started researching for the unusual trip that awaits them.

“AHA! The Winchester mystery house let’s explore it. Oh boy, the only mystery I can think of is how exciting the trip could be!” And both of them went to bed to rest their bodies for the mysterious adventure….. Sophie’s 6th sense started bothered her during her sleep, she wasn’t really an adventurous person but let
it slide and make her best friend happy but look at the bright side it could give the teenagers a break from studies.
At exactly 8:30am in the chilly morning as soon as Sophie opened her eyes she saw Emma smiling wide as she could wearing bring clothes, a pair of rainbow glittery heart shaped glasses and a fat suitcase standing so eager to finally have a trip. “Girl you might be brighter than the Sun , uh? Hold your horses, let me get dressed, freshen up and take a stop at Tim Hortons. Oh and plus only mini donuts for you or you might get a sugar rush!” Emma giggling agrees. A while later at 9:00am they reached their destination. “Boy it’s sure cold here in San Jose, uh Sophie?”

Sophie gave a weird look at Emma and exclaimed “ But it’s California, it’s supposed to be super hot out here!” “Hello? Anybody out here?” said Emma at the unusual footy morning. It echoed so far but as the echoing came to an end a mysterious figure approached them. They thought it was a tour guide who was actually an old witch disguised as an old woman. “Greetings lovelies, call me Mrs. Casey” cackled the old woman. Sophie was very defensive and told in an insecure way “Listen up here umm Mrs. Casey why don’t you tell us about this place be for a tour in and out, uh?” “Why not dear?” challenged Mrs. Casey
“Well.. A woman named Sarah Winchester built this house until her very last breath.
This was originally a simple farm house and people assume Mrs. Winchester had gone mad after her husband’s and daughter’s . The woman visited a psychic and told her husband owned a rifle company and the souls of people who have died there haunted her and Mr. Oliver Winchester her husband.” “The psychic told her to build rooms for all the souls until she ceased existence.” Emma on the other hand was trying not to pee in her pants and tried to calm herself with her favorite albums and songs. “There are 160 rooms, 2000 doors, 10,000 windows and hidden rooms and staircases that were built in an odd way.” continued Mrs. Casey

Sophie gave a weird look on her face, grabbed Emma’s hand and started the engine. “Wait! Are there any rumors?” she said stammering. “Of course! Thought you would never ask, well people assumed they could see doorknobs twisting by themselves and they could hear a faint noise of a women..” Emma froze in terror, Sophie had enough and said “That’s enough we got to get out of here ASAP!” Mrs. Casey cackled “Run before you can!” and they rode through the crinkled and thorny passage. When they arrived home with their cheeseburgers to cool themselves down they realized that they forgot to babysit Sophie’s 5 year old cousin, “Oh couz! I am so sorry. Hey want to have some leftover fries?”

Rosie Sophie’s cousin laughed “ No thanks, but you should have seen the look on your faces. That was all a prank! Ha ha classic girls, and of course classic gullible Emma!” Emma and Sophie stood still confused not getting to the point. Rosie sighed “ Look since you both forgot my existence yesterday I overheard you both talking I snuck to the computer searched in browse area The Winchester Mystery House and saved it, I knew Emma is very gullible and would take the first option as the idea. Then I rode my bike early in the morning to the location and set up the fog machines. No wonder California was very foggy uh Sophie?” smirked Rosie. That’s a sing of relief the girls thought to themselves and Emma chuckled and said “Well big brain how did you hire such an accurate old lady and how much you paid her, eh?” Rosie looked confused and said “ I did not hire any old lady?”
