THE SON OF ANAKIN SKYWALKER
Luke Skywalker was gazing at the twin suns setting towards the horizon of his home world, Tatooine.

For nineteen years Luke had lived on Tatooine – nineteen, long years with his aunt, Beru and uncle, Owen.

Owen was very strict at times.

He put Luke to work on the moisture farm for hours on end – allowing him limited time to go off spending time with his friends.

Luke cherished every moment of freedom, every moment with his friends, for he was fed up with being put to work, day after day.

There were times, when he wished he could just fly away from Tatooine and never return. After all, most of his friends had left.

Tatooine was not entirely a peaceful planet to live on. The nomadic tribes of hostile Sandpeople roamed the deserts and the ruthless Hutts enforced slavery.

It was most fortunate that Luke never got tied in with the latter.

The Jawas on the other hand weren’t so bad, for they were more unfriendly to droids.

Then there was Obi-Wan, that old hermit, who watched over Luke, to make sure he didn’t fall into the hands of the Empire.

So life had its ups and downs for Luke.

He wanted to join the Imperial Academy, but Owen continued to put his foot down.

Owen deeply feared, that by joining the Academy, Luke would end up joining the Empire. That he would come face to face with his true father, Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.

So Luke was stuck on Tatooine, believing his father was a navigator on a spice freighter.

No knowledge did he have, that his father was once a great Jedi. Neither did he know of his sister, Leia.

However, those times were yet to come.
