The Chocolate Wine Kiss
The Chocolate Kiss

- Gastronomical Lovemaking

Astronomical Story
by Charles E.J. Moulton

The chocolate melts in my mouth like sweet honeymoon, sensuality becoming spirituality, unfolding like a Christmas present filled with lace and marshmallows. It is warm. Calm. Reassuring. I sip my African wine and it lands in my mouth, the wine mixing with the chocolate and becoming a sweet and spicy blend. It feels like a journey down the vineyards in Spain to taste chocolate wine, ripe and sweet.

My mind floats on a breeze to a cottage on a Mexican hill overlooking the mountains, where I sit by a fire, listening to the music of de Falla, smooth and sweet like the sultry smile of a Guadeloupe dancer. The stars shine above me, showing me Orion and The Big Dipper and making me wonder how long ago it was that light was sent to me.
Had Jesus been born yet? And then, as I stand there looking at the moon, you arrive, mon tendre ami, je t'aime a la folie, and my fears disappear, all the conflicts seem like fluff. They are illusions.
The truth is the love and the feeling inside, my terror a mist that disappears with the oncoming dawn.
I trust. I have faith. For inside your eyes, beyond the horizon of your body, I see the land of tomorrow, the light of the gaze that shows me you. The land of me. The heart of Atlantis. The forgotten kingdom. And as we kiss under the star signs, my fear transforms and I realize it was a flash that came from a reflection. And the real thing was my own light. The kiss was eternity and the wine we drink is called infatuation. Blue lights shining upon glittering water splashed by eternal light. Our kisses turning us into one spirit. Earth and water breathing fire and wind and becoming aether. We are the fifth dimension. We strive for peace. There is no must, no shall, no duty, no force. We exist. Two peas in a pod. Two spirits and one soul. The taste of the wine and the chocolate blending became us. The mature spice and the sweet warm chocolate. Together we became the original dish. Created before the recipe. The taste there in my mind before the experience. And we journey down way past expectancies into pure existence. The now. No fanfare. Just the now. No rush to accomplish. A boat floating on a river. The river carrying the boat with the two souls and the soul boat granting the passengers full trust that the boat is safe on the river.

The chocolate kiss meets the wine embrace and the electrons dance a slow sweet rumba. The rumba of the eons. And while the lovemaking is taking place, stars appear. Small stars that blink and appear, seen to both energies that are now one. Past fears are gone. The cocktail is complete and the idea that both were once apart is unthinkable. For in the dawn of creation, the chocolate kiss was the original matrimony. One heart.

So the chocolate wine kiss decides to travel upward toward the eons and see where the heavens exist where tastes that mingled once were one. And the soul journeys to enter a paradise of Eden where tastes are eternal. On a grassy knoll, the apple cherry wanders happily about, singing "Something's in the Kitchen with Dinah" in the voice of Robert Picardo. The chocolate wine kiss recognizes her good friend the whiskey marshmallow, who gently sings "One for my Baby" in the croon of Frank Sinatra at the "Jello-Oh Bar". At the piano, she sees the Coffee Banana, who plays "I Want Your Ice Cream" by Mika in the key of Cheese Flat. The night is still young, so the couple that is now one, journey to the blueberry river and step into the biscuit boat, watching the Spicy Baguette Gingerbread Scrapers with their glittering tzaziki windows sway in the saccharine wind. The moon oozes whipped cream and as it sneezes, it spreads sugar around the sky that become eternal stars. The gondoliere is a strawberry white chocolate muffin that sings, on the melody of "It's Now or Never", "O Wholefoods Mio, O Apple Pie, You Nougat Peaches, prepare to fly, just tell me that you are mine, my foggy brain will swim in wine."

And as the chocolate girl falls asleep on the shoulder of the Spanish wine boy, they dream of Brandy Donuts, and wake up on a bed of mango roses surrounded by little mandarine raisin dumplings, children created by true love in Orange Blossom Wonderland.
