"A Mother's Wisdom"
Anger, is a tempest, a raging river blocked by a dam, until it breaks atlas, bottled up for so long, a torrent unleashed. Truthfully, I am a somewhat angry person when provoked, and some people know just how to push that button. Beep, button pushed, I stand shaking with anger, ready to act, only to be reigned in by by my mother's words, " Don't do it, Don't let them get to you," this is what have held me at bay, a monster leashed by it's mother's wisdom. But, truth be told, that chain, that "leash" can only hold for so long until one day it snaps and a monster is unleashed, and there's nothing you can do except hope, pray that the monster remembers it's mother's words, " Don't do it, don't let them get to you." Suddenly, the monster turn, maybe remembering the wisdom of it's mothers words, or maybe to contemplate the ways in which it will end them. Carrying on, the monster, goes on to think about the situation, getting angrier until it snaps again, the little self-control it had vanquished in that short moment. Still, the monster hears it's mothers lingering words " Don't do it, Don't let them get to you." Quieted by it's mother's lingering wisdom, it returns to I. As, the day goes on the monster is quiet, until we see "HIM", the cause of our anger, trying to reign in the monster, defenses rallying for the win, but the monster prevail, only to be stayed by it's mothers own hand and words, " Don't do it, Don't let them get to you."

You are right. It is important to find a way to maintain control of your emotions when angry. I remember the day I realized that the angry words that I said when mad which were aimed to cause maximum hurt were not what I really wanted to do. I would always feel bad about it later. I decided to just keep quiet when mad.
