Today's Lesson at Moriah Hallow
Today’s Lesson at Moriah Hallow School

In the enchanted realm of Moriah Hallow, where moonbeams dance across treetops and the air hums with ancient blessings, stands the most extraordinary school in all creation—the School for Easter Bunnies. Here, nestled between whispering pines and shimmering brooks, young bunnies learn the sacred arts that keep Easter alive.
At the heart of it all is Noam, the first Easter Bunny. His fur glows like cinnamon‑spun cotton, soft as morning light. His ears quiver with curiosity, and his eyes hold the wisdom of ages. But most wondrous of all are his blessed feet, which turn a radiant crimson each spring—a sign that miracles are stirring.
The School Awakens
The bell of Moriah Hallow chimed—a sound like silver wind chimes touched by angels. Young bunnies scampered to their moss‑lined classrooms, their fluffy tails bouncing with excitement. Inside, the air buzzed with lessons in:
Egg Painting, the sacred craft of coloring hope
Hopology, the study of joyful movement
Dream‑Weaving, the art of shaping blessings through imagination
Noam stood at the entrance, his presence warm as sunrise.
He stood tall for a rabbit, with fur like cinnamon‑spun cotton, soft and slightly curled at the tips. His eyes are warm amber, glowing with ancient wisdom. His ears are long and expressive—one often tilts forward when he’s thinking. His most striking feature is his blessed feet, glowing a gentle crimson that radiates like warm embers. When he walks, faint trails of shimmering light follow.
He wears a blue jacket—his purity and simplicity are part of his sacred calling—but he often carries a woven satchel filled with papers and the Bible.
The background often shows soft halos of light around him, as if heaven itself leans close.
“Welcome, my little ones,” he said, his voice soft as a spring breeze. “Today we learn about dreams, faith, and the Easter egg—the heart of our purpose.”
The bunnies settled on cushions of moss and clover. A group of small, fluffy bunnies of various colors—snow white, chestnut, caramel, and soft gray—sit on mossy cushions. Their eyes are wide with wonder. Some hold tiny paintbrushes; others clutch half‑painted eggs. Their ears stand tall, quivering with excitement. Renae a small hedgehog with soft rose‑gold quills that shimmer like morning light also part of the class. Her eyes are bright and inquisitive. She often sits upright with her paws clasped, leaning forward when excited. A tiny flower is tucked behind one ear.
Their classroom is a hollowed tree trunk lit by firefly lanterns, with shelves of colorful eggs and scrolls.
Noam’s eyes sparkled like dew on petals as he began.
The Sacred Gift of the Easter Egg
“Long ago,” Noam said, “when the world was young and hope was fragile, God entrusted me with a holy task. He placed in my care the Easter egg—a symbol of rebirth, faith, and the promise that light always returns.”
His whiskers trembled with reverence.
“But there is more. The Easter egg is also a dream—fragile, beautiful, and full of possibility.”
The young bunnies leaned in.
“Dreams,” Noam continued, “begin deep within your hearts. But beware the Doubtful Crows and Fearful Foxes. They whisper, ‘You can’t,’ ‘You won’t,’ ‘It’s impossible.’ They try to steal your dreams before they hatch.”
He tapped his crimson foot on the floor, and a soft glow spread across the room.
“Do not let them. Water your dreams with determination. Fertilize them with hard work. Protect them with faith. And watch them grow.”
The Miracle of the Red Foot
Noam lifted one paw. The crimson glow shimmered like a ruby kissed by dawn.
“When my feet turn red,” saying, “it means the blessing is upon me. On Easter morning, We visit every home, every garden, every hidden nook. With a single touch, We transform ordinary eggs into vibrant masterpieces.”
Each color carries a message:
Blue — Serenity
Yellow — Joy
Red — Jesus’ love and sacrifice
Pink — Compassion and tenderness
A tiny cottontail gasped. “But how does it happen?”
“Through faith,” Noam replied. “Faith in the unseen. Faith in God’s love. Faith that miracles bloom when we believe.”
The Forest Friends and God’s Love
Student Thistle a fluffy‑tailed squirrel with russet fur and bright green eyes raised a paw. His tail is enormous and expressive, curling like a plume behind him. He carries a tiny satchel of acorns—each one glowing faintly, representing stored hope. “What about the forest friends?”
Noam smiled warmly.
“The birds, the butterflies, the ancient oaks—they all watch over us. When my feet glow red, they gather. We share sweet treats: nectar, berries warmed by the sun, and the joy of God’s love flowing through creation.”
A young fawn asked, “Why do you share your gifts with everyone?”
“Because love knows no boundaries,” Noam said. “Our blessings are not only for bunnies. They are for children, for families, all God's creatures, for all who believe in miracles.”
He paused, letting the truth settle.
“And the lucky rabbit’s foot? It is not a charm of superstition. It is a symbol of God’s grace—a reminder that His love walks with you.”
Noam’s Dream: The Garden of Hope
“Tell us about your dreams!” cried Renae the hedgehog.
Noam stroked his whiskers thoughtfully.
“Very well. Let me tell you about my dream of finding the Legendary Garden of Hope.”
He began:
A hidden glade bathed in moonlight. Flowers bloom in impossible colors—iridescent blues, shimmering pinks, glowing golds. Each petal seems to hold a tiny dream. The air sparkles with drifting motes of light. Ancient stone guardians stand at the entrance, carved with symbols of faith.
“It lies deep within the forest, hidden from all but the pure of heart. Its flowers bloom wishes like wildflowers, and ancient spirits guard its entrance.”
One moonlit night, I set out. His paws left glowing prints in the dew as he followed silver moonbeams. The forest whispered secrets—of lost stars, forgotten songs, and the power of belief.
Along the way I met:
Luna the Firefly, who carried dreams in her glowing wings
Thistle the Squirrel, who stored acorns of hope
Willow the Wise Owl, who saw beyond the visible
Together we crossed a treacherous river, solved riddles from a mischievous toadstool, and navigated a maze of tangled vines.
At last, I reached the Garden of Hope. Its petals shimmered like living dreams. The air hummed with forgotten wishes.
“I closed my eyes,” and said softly, “ I wished to inspire generations—to help every bunny’s dream take flight.”
The Lesson of Moriah Hallow
“Dreams,” Noam concluded, “are fragile yet resilient. Nurture them with faith, love, courage, and a dash of moonlight.”
The young bunnies felt their hearts swell.
“Paint brighter eggs. Hop higher. Whisper your wishes to the wind. And when Easter dawns, remember—you carry enough faith to color the world.”
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Noam’s blessed feet glowed once more, leaving trails of love wherever they touched.
And in Moriah Hallow, dreams bloomed, kindness flowed like a river, and miracles wove themselves into every sunrise.

Just so tired of all the killing/destroying in writing and movies. At one time storytelling was about good things happening. Why are we so attracted to bad things happening to others. This is what we teach our children. Some of my favorite writes, I now look at them as just uncreative killing stories. Same plot same idea. The same story. In my thoughts, there hasn't been a creative idea for years.

Gentile faith-filled delight! The story bends whimsy and wisdom in the way only Noam can do. Where even the smallest monments become a blessing. The messgae lingers long after reading, the Easter of my childhood. A beautiful addition to the many stories on StoryStar
