Julie the giver

Julie the giver
There are people who think only of themselves and work only for themselves, and there are those who think of others and care for others. The first group seems to shape the masses with their limited worries and conceptions while the second group holds the elite whose conceptions and concerns go beyond the ordinary. The elite strives to turn the impossible into possible, the unreal into real, the limited into infinite, and the intangible into tangible. By all means they pay an expensive price for their approach and for the different path they choose, but they make the difference by fighting the right fight. They manifest the best of values such as selflessness, love, hope, empathy, and sacrifice, and they enlighten the lives of many thanks to the depth of their insights and the purity of their love.

The giver doesn't get one's immediate material reward, but one gains one's immense immaterial prizes of satisfaction, self-love, self- esteem, and self-pride. The selfless gives everything one can afford and takes eveything without having the intention to reap any reward. The noble stands as an idle and hero for many generations and keeps providing guidance and security. The distinguished doesn't die and the beauty of one's soul stays young, vivacious, and shining and forever shining.

I just found your wonderfully kind tribute to my precious daughter Julie. It has made my tears flow all over again. She spent sooo many years setting up StoryStar and felt it was her "legacy". She loved all of her authors and readers and felt it made it all worthwhile. Her "other legacy" she considered to be the sea lion she painted. It has all of the lighthouses from the Oregon coastline painted on it and was purchased by our local clinic and is displayed there. You can find all of the painted sea lions on "Dancing with Sea Lions. com" (dancingwithsealions.com). You will only see one of the lighthouses which is our local one. But all of the rest are on the sea lion. BLESSINGS to all of you for helping to make StoryStar a success.
