Mattia: The Heart from Afar
Born 1969, F, from London, United Kingdom
In a quiet glade hidden deep within an ancient forest lived a tiny fairy named Mattia.
Mattia was not like the others.
He had come from a distant fairy kingdom far beyond the silver mountains - a place where the light glowed softer and the winds whispered instead of sang. His wings shimmered with a warmer, golden hue, and his voice carried a calm gentleness that felt unfamiliar to the fairies of this forest.
At first, they didn’t know what to make of him.
- “He’s too quiet,” some whispered.
- “He’s strange,” said others.
But Mattia never tried to change who he was. He was kind to everyone. He cared deeply, listened patiently, and always noticed the small things others overlooked. If a friend felt left out, Mattia would sit beside them. If someone was hurt, he was already there, offering comfort before they even asked.
Slowly, the forest began to understand him.
One evening, a fierce storm swept through the trees, stronger than any the fairies had ever seen. Winds howled, branches snapped, and fear spread quickly among them.
The fairies didn’t know what to do.
But Mattia did.
In his homeland, he had learned that storms were not something to fight - but something to endure together.
- “Stay close,” he told them gently. “No one should face this alone.”
Though his wings trembled, he guided them one by one to shelter beneath the roots of a great old tree. He checked on each fairy, spoke softly to calm them, and stayed until the storm passed.
When morning came, the forest was still.
The fairies looked at Mattia - not as someone strange, but as someone wise.
- “You’re different,” one said.
Mattia smiled softly.
- “Yes. But different doesn’t mean distant.”
From that day on, Mattia was no longer the fairy from somewhere else.
He was simply Mattia… the one who showed them that even the quietest heart can bring everyone together.
Moral: Being different is not a weakness - kindness, understanding, and a pure heart can turn differences into the greatest strength of all.

05/15/2026I liked the way you explained his difference and then showed that it was not a problem.
