Diana a 25years beautiful girl, was standing in front of the court .She took a deep breath, today was the day she was about to take control of her life. The thought sent a mix of emotions swirling inside her - anxiety, hope, and a hint of excitement. She had waited for this day for what felt like an eternity. 

2 months before

Diana's eyes welled up as she recalled the night. The rain had been pouring, and she had just stepped out for some essentials. She had an accident and was sent to hospital, it was an emergency, the doctor called the family members, but his husband was ignoring the calls because he was partying with friends while she fought for her life... her parents were also indifferent to her. The only kindness came from a stranger in a white coat, a doctor who saved her life. She was rescued on time, and spent three days in hospital, with no one beside her.

After the discharge, she went home, only to be tormented by her in-laws for not doing house work for three days and roaming outside, she explained her situation but no one cared for her. She just sat on the floor feeling the pain. She thought atleast her husband will care for her but he didn't. As soon as he came home he just slapped her, for wasting time and slacking off , he even , made her to kneel in front of her parents room until midnight to teach her a lesson .

She felt the pain from the accident was nothing compared to the weight of her reality. She thought she'd be safe at home, but it was just another prison. Her in-laws' words cut deep, and her husband's indifference was a brutal reminder of her worthlessness in their eyes.

Her tears rolled on her cheek , because she couldn't fight against them, weird thoughts started to come in her head , she thought may be this is her fate ,she had no one to support her ,she wept in pain and slept.

Next day ,police came to her house enquiring about the accident, they wanted to ask Diana about the details of the accident so they could catch the culprit.

But the in-laws were quick to put on a facade, pretending to be the caring family, they said it's not necessary as their daughter in law was discharged and was resting now, no need for this formalities,he should go back.

But the inspector wasn't buying it. He insisted on speaking to Diana, himself for her statement. As he entered her room, they saw her lying on ground , there was no proper bed , the room was not even ventilated properly. 

As Diana woke up ,she looked frail and scared, the inspector gently asked her to recount the accident, and she spoke in a low voice, trying to hide her emotions.

The in-laws hovered nearby, trying to eavesdrop, but the inspector ensured they gave Diana space. As she spoke, the inspector noticed the bruise on her cheek and the way she was in pain. He understood her situation in the house.

He asked about the details of accident but she couldn't recall anything properly. He assured her safety and not to be afraid, she can tell him everything, but she was so afraid she couldn't speak anything .He gave her his card and said if she needs his help she can call him. He told her in-laws to take care of her and left.

After few days

While doing house work, she heard her husband talking on phone with someone, she then realised that her husband was cheating on her ,he was the one who planned the accident to kill her and then marry his lover.

She immediately called the inspector for help and filed a report on them. The police arrested her husband. but his demeanor was infuriating - smirk on his face, no remorse.

During interrogation , he was arrogant and remained tight-lipped, and then a lawyer showed up, citing lack of evidence and bailed him .

Diana's eyes widened in disbelief. The system had just let her down. The inspector reassured her they'd gather more evidence, but she knew it wouldn't be easy. Because her husband ,was a rich spoiled brat he felt as long as there is money everything will be under his control.

As soon as they went home, he punished her again, and said she couldn't escape him. 

She realised she had to play smart to escape. With the inspector's help, she set up a camera, capturing every cruel moment. The anticipation was nerve-wracking, but she was determined. 

The days went by, and the camera rolled, recording his abuse, his threats, his cruelty. Diana stored each clip, building a case against him. She knew it was risky, but she was ready to take the leap. Freedom was within reach.

 Now that she had evidence, she went to her husband and said "I want a divorce," her voice firm. He burst out laughing, the sound sending a chill down her spine. "You'll be dead before that happens," he sneered.

But Diana wasn't intimidated. She said "We'll go to court," with determination.

He snorted. "No lawyer'll touch your case. I've got connections, power. No one's gonna go against me."

She went to so many lawyers but none of them accepted her case.

He used his power and suspended the inspector who was helping Diana. She felt all her efforts became zero. But the inspector was a good man , he said he will help her indirectly, he created a social media account and started posting videos about the case. Soon the videos went viral and she started getting support from the people. Everyone started to torment her husband, She thought he will definitely lose this time.

But the ray of hope, was shattered as soon as Diana parents came into the picture . They claimed her daughter was just a fool, she only created this mess to get attention and their son in law was a good person .

Everyone were shocked to hear this, her husband played the victim card, spinning a web of lies about her mental health. He had a mocking smile looking at her .

The inspector's social media post went silent, the support from strangers seemed to dwindle. She thought she lost ,but luckily she got a call from a famous lawyer Ms Rose ,who was interested in her case. She supported her and wanted to prove her innocence . She gathered the evidence and the the court accepted her case.

Finally It was the Dday. As she entered the court, the judge asked Diana to explain.

She began the explanation from her childhood. She often wondered why her brother's mistakes were met with understanding, while hers were punished with silence. 'You're the elder, you should set an example,' her mother would say, the words stinging like a slap. Her brother would get lavished with praise for the smallest achievements, while her efforts went unnoticed. The unfairness of it all simmered inside her."

According to her parents,she was a girl, only born to do house work & cooking no need to study.

Ms. Rose nodded encouragingly, sensing the impact of Diana's words on the judge and the courtroom. The battle for justice was being fought on multiple fronts – in the courtroom, and in the echoes of Diana's past.

She continued ,she thought after getting married her life will be happy but all her dreams shattered as her husband and in-laws started to torture her because she was an literate and her social status were different to them. She didn't have proper room, clothes or a bed,and everytime she made a mistake they would lock her in a dark room without food for two days . All these years she suffered so much, even her parents weren't didn't care to help her.

But after the accident she realised,she couldn't tolerate anymore she demanded justice for herself.

But her husband didn't accept any of her claims ,he said there is no proof . He will sue her for defamation.

  The video evidence she gathered was already deleted by her husband's men. Even the medical reports of her were fabricated by him . He smiled saying he won the case. Because there was no other proof.

The court was silent , Ms Rose stood up and with her gentle voice spoke she had a witness.

A young girl came inside and introduced herself as the husband 's lover .

Ms. Rose guided the girl through her testimony, and the young girl revealed that she had met him (Diana 's husband) few years ago he pretended to be a nice guy and they fell in love,but she didn't know he was married at that time, he said he loved her very much and promised he will do anything for her and marry her.

 Later, she was terrified when she go to know that he planned to kill his own wife (Diana)and marry her. She couldn't accept this killer, she broke up with him and escaped .

As an evidence she submitted his call recordings to court . The husband's lawyer stumbled, trying to discredit her, but she held firm.

The courtroom was electric, the tension palpable. Diana's eyes locked onto her husband's, a mix of anger and sadness swirling inside. Everyone were waiting for the final judgment.

 The court sentenced her husband for 14years imprisonment. And half of his property will be given to Diana as compensation.

The judge's voice echoed through the room, "Diana, you're free to go." 

Everyone in the court were happy , as justice prevailed, Diana thanked the judge, Ms Rose, inspector and the witness for their support.

After so many

struggles , so many years of suffering, finally she got her FREEDOM.
