I wish such occasions were more about thinking about the history, and lessons that can be drawn from it, not just celebrating.

Many people have good reasons for believing that USA is not moving in the correct path, like in 1776, when it was a beacon of freedom. We can't just ignore all kinds of criticism by putting a "lie" label on them.
