The Beautiful Song

The Master Singer once sang the most beautiful of songs. Soon the whole tribe of singers out in the magic woods began singing this song too. It echoed through the woods and trees like the wind and the spirit of love for life itself. Then they went out to all of the many villages in the kingdom one-by-one and each of the magic singers began to sing the most beautiful of songs to all the people in the kingdom. The song was beautiful and magical beyond compare and soon word reached even the great king in his wondrous palace of the magical singers and their beautiful song. He bid them to come unto his throne and to sing their magical song to all of his court to admire with joy and pride. They gathered in the great hall of his palace and their great song on love and peace resounded throughout the halls of his stately palace. And all through the ages the magic singers would sing their magic song to the wonder of all mankind. Year after year their mighty voices carried the song of love and hope to all they came across. Through all of time the kingdom was filled with its magical spell and beautiful charms. Yet, one day the magic singers began to grow old themselves and soon passed away one by one, until only the Master Singer alone was left to sing his song of mystery and magic. The day came when he too became weak with age and it seemed that time and the ages had caught up with the last of their kind after all. When he passed away one crisp winter’s day the song of magic and beauty was heard no more throughout the kingdom. It was not sung in the stately palace of the king, it was not sung in the villages and towns, it was not sung by any tribe anymore. For no singer throughout the lands could match the mastery of the magic singers, and soon the spirit of their magic song had passed away all together. Yet if you should go out to the magical woods of that old tribe alone on some bright summer’s day, you might still hear the wind whisper their tune through the woods and trees like the spirit of joy and love that it was. Still it carries throughout the tall pine trees and with a magic and charm unknown to men. Still the woods and the wind will sing it for all time to come. That is the magic and mystery of it all. Songs of love never truly die at all but lives forever in our hearts and souls. Sing the song of love. Sing the song of hope. Sing our song forever.
