Mustissac stood within a hidden chamber deep inside the level-eight castle. Built centuries ago by King Azazel, the secret room was lined with ancient stone tablets covered in powerful inscriptions.

"One more soul banished to the Umbral Realm, and the full magic and power of the Gildebane will be unleashed," Mustissac declared, his sinister laughter echoing through the chamber.

He paused to study another inscription. A cruel smile slowly spread across his face as a wicked plan took shape in his mind.

Far away, beneath a towering sand dune in the endless desert of level four, rested the ancient Chamber of Keres. Long ago, it had been permanently sealed to prevent the darkness within from consuming mankind.

Standing guard before the chamber was Sibyl, a young woman with flowing black hair, piercing green eyes, and a golden eye-shaped mark upon her forehead. She wore a white palla and a magical necklace that shimmered faintly in the desert sun.

As strange symbols suddenly appeared across the sealed door, Sibyl stepped closer and read the glowing inscription.

"The prophets foretold that a being of great evil will threaten mankind, and that a final battle—the Shadow Game—will begin here."

Her face turned pale as the meaning of the prophecy settled upon her.

Meanwhile, aboard a luxury cruise ship sailing a day's journey from its home port, a mysterious man with snow-white hair sat comfortably inside the captain's private office. Dressed in a crimson suit and polished white boots, he, too, bore a golden eye-shaped mark upon his forehead.

Calmly sipping a glass of wine, he watched a private jet depart from level eight on a nearby viewscreen, its destination set for level four.

"My, my... you've been hiding for quite some time in the Forbidden Level," the stranger said with a knowing smile.

His eyes gleamed with anticipation.

"I can't wait to see what happens when you finally meet Altus Kael, the Sky Reaper of level five."

His smile widened, as though he alone understood the secrets that were about to reshape every level of the world.

A short time later, the mysterious stranger continued watching the viewscreen from the captain's private office. Mustissac's private jet had entered level five when an enormous aircraft emerged from the clouds. It was nearly the size of two battleships, and its sleek, metallic bow resembled the head of a giant bird of prey.

The stranger's smile widened.

"This is about to get exciting," he said, swirling the wine in his glass.

On the viewscreen, the colossal aircraft matched the jet's speed. A brilliant tractor beam burst from its underside, locking onto Mustissac's aircraft. Despite the pilot's desperate attempts to escape, the private jet was slowly dragged backward toward the massive vessel.

"Oh, my... this is far too entertaining," the stranger said with a quiet chuckle before taking another sip of wine.

The front of the gigantic aircraft split open like the beak of a great mechanical bird. The tractor beam drew Mustissac's private jet inside the dark opening. Moments later, the metallic beak closed with a thunderous clang, and the enormous vessel disappeared into the clouds, carrying its captive away.

Aboard the strange aircraft, a band of warriors dressed like pirates stormed Mustissac's private jet. Some carried flintlock pistols, while others brandished sharp dirks. They quickly seized the pilot and captain, forcing them to the floor before advancing into the passenger cabin.

Mustissac calmly rose from his seat and raised his golden staff, the Gildebane.

He pointed it toward the boarding party.

A surge of golden light erupted from the staff. The pirates cried out as they collapsed to the floor, their bodies glowing with strange magical energy. One by one, their pirate attire dissolved into shimmering light, replaced by purple paenulae. Black masks spread across their faces as though alive, and their eyes turned a glowing yellow.

When the light finally faded, the transformed pirates knelt before Mustissac.

"Take me to your former leader," Mustissac commanded.

"Yes, Master," they replied in unison.

They led him through the corridors of the enormous aircraft until they reached a grand staircase. There they stopped.

Standing at the top was Altus Kael.

He wore a long blue coat over light-blue slacks tucked into polished black boots. Without hesitation, he drew his sword and charged down the staircase, his blade gleaming.

"What have you done to my crew?" Altus demanded.

He stopped only when the tip of his sword rested against Mustissac's chest.

"I have a proposal," Mustissac said calmly, showing no fear.

"What kind of proposal?" Altus asked, keeping the sword firmly in place.

"Let us settle this with a Shadow Game. If you win, your crew will be restored to normal, and every piece of my wealth will become yours."

Altus narrowed his eyes.

"And if you win?"

Mustissac's smile grew darker.

In an unexpected move, Altus Kael turned and lunged his sword toward Mustissac. Using his magic staff, the Gildebane, Mustissac blocked the attack before the blade could pierce him.

“You will pay for that stunt!” Mustissac exclaimed, raising the Gildebane and pointing it at Altus.

The staff began to glow with an unnatural light. A wave of dark energy erupted from the Gildebane, tearing Altus Kael’s soul from his body and banishing him to the Umbral Realm.

Mustissac stood over Altus’s motionless body, laughing triumphantly as he lay face down on the floor. But suddenly, the Gildebane began to shake. Its glow intensified as sinister powers and forbidden magic poured into Mustissac’s body.

Mustissac’s laughter stopped. He grabbed his chest and bent forward, gasping for breath as the dark energy surged through him. The evil power attacked his body, consuming and dissolving his heart from within.

With his heart destroyed, Mustissac collapsed to the floor.

Then the Gildebane rose into the air. The staff moved on its own, driving its tip into Mustissac’s chest. The center of the Gildebane glowed brightly before transforming into a strange yellow substance that filled the wound.

The yellow mass traveled through Mustissac’s body until it reached the place where his heart had once been. Slowly, it expanded, taking the shape of a beating heart. Strange glowing veins spread from it, connecting to his brain and other vital organs.

The new heart began to pulse.

Mustissac’s body started to glow. His hair faded to white, his pale skin darkened to brown, and his clothing transformed into a new form: a black shirt, a purple cape, tan slacks, and a black belt. His eyes burned bright yellow, and three sixes appeared upon his forehead.

The evil power of the Gildebane had finally been unleashed.

Mustissac slowly rose to his feet. A dark smile crossed his face.

For no apparent reason, he began to laugh—a deep, sinister laugh that echoed throughout the mysterious aircraft.

Deep in the desert, Sibyl’s necklace suddenly began to glow. A mysterious energy spread through the chamber as strange symbols appeared across the ancient walls.

Sibyl stepped closer, studying the unfamiliar markings. As she began to interpret the symbols, her expression changed from curiosity to fear.

“The power of the Gildebane has been released,” she whispered. “But Altus Kael altered the timeline by refusing to duel Mustissac. We are running out of time.”

Her voice trembled as she looked toward the glowing necklace.

“Please hurry, brother,” Sibyl cried.

Far away, aboard a luxurious cruise ship, the mysterious stranger watched as the power of the Gildebane was unleashed. The glow of the ancient magic reflected in his eyes as he sensed the disturbance in the timeline.

“What an interesting turn of events,” the stranger said calmly. He knew the timeline had been changed, and the consequences were already beginning to unfold.

A faint voice echoed in his mind—the sound of Sibyl’s desperate plea.

“Don’t worry, sister. We will be there soon,” the

stranger said.

Even across the distance, he could hear her voice fading into the darkness.

“Please hurry, brother…”
