At a lavish five-star hotel, a mysterious stranger with snow-white hair sat alone in his private office. He wore a crimson suit, white boots, and bore a golden eye upon his forehead. His gaze remained fixed on a large viewscreen, where he replayed, with intense fascination, the moment Mustissac lost the Shadow Game.

The Gildebane's evil power had ripped a hole through Mustissac's chest. A glowing golden heart burst free, only to transform into a radiant golden bird. The strange creature spread its shimmering wings, soared into the sky, and disappeared through a mysterious portal.

The stranger slammed his fist onto his desk.

"So... you're looking for your next victim," he muttered grimly.

As silence settled over the room, tears slowly rolled down his cheeks.

His thoughts drifted back to the happiest—and most tragic—day of his life.

He remembered kneeling before Princess Katie of the Seven Realms, holding out an engagement ring as he asked her to marry him.

Before she could answer, the room suddenly filled with a thick, poisonous gas.

Katie collapsed to the floor, gasping desperately for air. Her royal guards fell beside her, convulsing as the deadly fumes consumed them. Only the stranger remained standing, protected by the ancient magic flowing through his body.

That terrible day had stolen everything from him.

Moments after Katie's death, his magical powers granted him a vision.

Hidden within the shadows stood an unknown figure holding the Gildebane. The mysterious person calmly tapped the sinister artifact against the floor, releasing the toxic gas before disappearing into darkness.

From that moment forward, the stranger made a solemn vow.

One day, the Gildebane would be destroyed.

Whether by his own hand or by one the Guardian chosen to protect mankind, the cursed relic would never claim another innocent life.

A sudden feeling stirred within him.

He should check on Hailey.

She had helped defeat Mustissac, fulfilling the purpose for which destiny had chosen her. Now she had been returned safely to Earth. Her magic was gone, and with it, every memory of the Shadow Game.

The stranger picked up an unusual remote control and pressed one of its glowing buttons.

The viewscreen changed.

Hailey and her mother had just entered an elegant bridal shop.

Without seeing a single dress, the stranger already knew which one would capture Hailey's heart. A gentle smile crossed his face as he quietly began forming a plan.

Inside the shop, Hailey browsed through rows of beautiful gowns with her mother. Then she stopped

There it was.

The dress.

She slowly walked toward it, gently brushing her fingers across the delicate fabric. For a moment she imagined herself walking down the aisle, wearing the beautiful gown as family and friends watched with joyful smiles.

Then she looked at the price tag.

Her smile faded.

With a disappointed sigh, she reluctantly turned away to continue browsing.

Moments later, the stranger quietly entered the bridal shop.

He attracted almost no attention. Being from another realm, he had no desire to reveal himself while visiting Earth.

He calmly approached the front counter.

"May I help you, sir?" the clerk asked politely.

"Yes," the stranger replied, pointing toward the wedding dress before gesturing toward Hailey. "I'd like to purchase that wedding dress for Ms. Hailey Michelle Blake."

The clerk blinked in surprise.

The stranger reached into his pocket and placed a thick envelope on the counter.

"The money for the dress is inside," he said. "There's also a little extra for your trouble.”

Without another word, he turned and quietly walked out of the shop.

The puzzled clerk carefully opened the envelope.

His eyes widened.

There was an enormous amount of cash inside.

Suspicious that it might be counterfeit, he carefully inspected every bill.

To his amazement, every one of them was genuine.

Still bewildered, he completed the sale, wondering how he would ever explain such an unusual cash transaction to his manager.

A few moments later, the clerk removed the dress from the display and approached Hailey.

"Excuse me... Ms. Hailey Michelle Blake?"

Hailey turned toward him.

"Yes?"

"Someone has purchased this wedding dress for you."

"What?" Hailey exclaimed.

She stared at him in complete disbelief.

She had never been to this bridal shop before. She had only just found the dress she loved, yet somehow a complete stranger had not only bought it for her but had known her full name—including her middle name.

The clerk handed her the dress along with a copy of the receipt.

Hailey searched every inch of it, hoping to find the name of her mysterious benefactor.

There was nothing.

No signature.

No message.

No clue whatsoever.

Far away, the mysterious stranger stepped through a portal and returned to his own realm.

He settled back into his chair and watched the viewscreen with a quiet smile as Hailey left the bridal shop carrying the beautiful wedding dress.

"You may receive a few more surprises before your wedding," he said softly.

His smile slowly faded as he picked up the strange remote once more.

"But first..."

He pressed another button.

"...it's time to find a little golden bird."

The viewscreen shifted once again, beginning the hunt for the escaped spirit of the Gildebane.
